I don't think he went overboard. Nobody should be able to punk our stars. Nice to have someone that doesn't play that ****
Except that there was action that MLB and the Yankees committed to after the accident. Yankees are extending their netting even further. Not only that, every single team is extending their netting. So, not sure why you say that you don't hear anything about MLB.
I love GG passion and feel for the most part he uplifts the team. Green on the Warriors can be a knucklehead but for the most part the team and coach usually have his back because they know overall his passion, grit, etc. uplifts the team and he is a net positive for them. It's unfortunate he was baited by CP3 flopping but it's good to see him ready to have a teammates back. With he, Tucker, etc. on the team, you can't say the team is soft. Most championship teams have guys like this.
Agree with all of this, except I'm more optimistic about Green contributing hustle plays even when his shot isn't falling. I just worry that what we love about him is also his weakness. He doesn't think. On the bright side, he's out there with several of the smartest guys in the league. Just gotta keep his cool.
He definitely went overboard and CP3 shouldn’t be flopping like he’s still playing for the soft ass clippers. But don’t tell @vlaurelio that.
I think he'll get suspended but don't think he went overboard.. CP3 is the rockets key to the Chip. I hope cp3 pays Greens fines.
Not smart. I don't mind his retaliation as much as him losing control of his emotion. Keep your cool and foul hard at the next opportunity to send a message
Which is something that should have already been done a long time ago... I’m saying that it wasn’t alreally an image issue. Some player getting pushed into the stands is part of the court side experience and is not a real issue.
And MLB caught flack for not having the netting extended already. MLB did take a hit for it. That being said, these two instances aren't comparable.
yeah he should have done absolutely nothing whenever he sees any of his teammates pushed to the ground, or kicked in the nuts, or crushed by a 7ft center for no reason.. we just proved to minny and the league no one can mess with the rox.. we can enforce it and still get the W win all around except for fans who think we think its okay opponents punk our players especially superstars
same thing he would have been assessed a flagrant and kicked out just the same.. this is a clear message to the drays in the nba.. you kick one of our players you get kicked back right away no ifs and buts
Well good thing MDA wasn't our coach when we had Mad Max Also agree with this. The guy was beginning to play reckless. What Green did is what you do to put someone in place to avoid an potential injury to a star. I can imagine the uproar if on the next play the dude breaks Capela's nose or orbital with a flailing elbow on a rebound. Everything is always hingsight 20-20 and I'm on team 'don't get walked on, back up and protect your star players'. We all have differing opinions though and I can respect yours and MDA's submissive style. There was a good reason JVG's players played hard for him, and it may have something to do with him having the backbone to back up his players
You don't punk one of our stars, much less a friggin role player. Establishing this stuff before the playoffs is a good thing. MDA is just being cautious because he lost out on championship opportunities because of altercations. I guess I don't mind G Money being suspended a few games for keeping these assholes in check. I'd be pissed off if we lost Ariza, though.
Mike said in the post-game interview he rested Joe Johnson because it was a back-to-back. This altercation won't have anything to do with Gerald Green not playing next game (if he's not suspended). They may have lost the game if he had played Johnson over Green, which should be the main takeaway.
GG knows we got players to spare... at this point missing a game or two is no big deal... but the message it sends - priceless!
If Dudley and Chriss didn't get suspended for their tagteam on Rubio Green shouldn't get suspended for this tap.
Lets be honest, Dieng had intent, no matter if it was a soft push or hard push, you could clearly see Diengs arms extend out in a pushing motion. He also should of been ejected. What Green did was what someone on our team should be doing. Cant let other teams punk our players and get away with it. Maybe he pushed too much but it sends a message to the league.
