If those kids could hit a free throw they could have won that game. That's a shame, Bruce Pearl deserves all the bad things to happen to him in the entire wide world of sports.

 

This UMBC-Virginia game is awesome right now. Those guys are playing with an amazing amount of confidence.

The math doesn't add up for Virginia. I don't think they can score enough to catch them in 7 minutes even if UMBC dies.

 

The way UMBC moves without the basketball is beautiful. There is NOTHING Virginia can do.

With all the parity this year in College basketball this seemed like the year a 16 would beat a 1.

 

UVA did lose their 6th man - ACC 6MOTY, iirc - in their last game. That really shouldn't matter tonight though.

eta: I'm picturing Stringer, Avon and Prop Joe on the sidelines betting on who gets the next basket, or whose player ends up with more points.

 

My goodness gracious.. I think it's happening.. UVA's PG is a full 2 feet taller than UMBC's center.

 

Jarius Lyles is being underrated for real. The kid looks like kemba to me.

man, as elated as UMBC is right now, the look on the fans of UVA and the players is pretty heartbreaking..

I wouldn't leave the dorm room after this historic loss.
