perennial means existing as in their current play level. rose, wade, and thomas are all far from that. not even close
I get what you're trying to say, but perennial is usually going to be used in the context of indefinite, perpetual, enduring, etc. Guys that have been all-stars for a while and are still all-stars. Guys that are a fixture in the all-star game and there will pretty much never be doubt as long as they are active, like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Yao Ming, Tim Duncan, LeBron James. You could make a case for Kyrie Irving too, though.
