Your posts lately have had quite an edge - the collapse of the Trump administration has unwittingly got you irked.
Report (blog) from Gamespot (game retailer) on yesterday's meeting at WH with trump, games executives, and other parties... President Trump's Video Games Meeting Had A Violent Game Montage https://www.gamespot.com/articles/p...53ff&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=twitter
I have to admit: ...nothing gets me going like a good couple of hours of "Fallout 3" -- traipsing around a post-nuclear war landscape, blasting roving packs of human scavengers or grotesquely mutated beasts into bloody smears and sprays of gore across my screen... ...or "Saints Row II"-- the ULTIMATE in cartoonishly graphic and decadently hilarious human slaughter and destruction on a city-wide scale... ...but then, with "Grand Theft Auto IV", it goes without saying that nothing tops the classics...Eastern-European immigrants entrenched in everything from racketeering, extortion and murder to kidnapping and, uh, grand theft auto and larceny...contract hits and rocket-propelled grenades...it's ecstacy. ...how the hell did we all get on before these video game things were made? - Hunting Native Americans to near extinction? - Seizing the property of Japanese Americans and interring them without due process for years? Or is that Guantanamo Bay (easy for a dumb Negro like me to mix those up)? - Or everybody's favorite: the Sunday family outing complete with picnic baskets, photos and the guest of honor -- a lynched N!gg3r swinging in the breeze...
So trump has fully caved to his NRA overlords, removed age limits and instead put the smiling idiot in charge and focuses on the ridiculous proposal to arm teachers (meaning more guns in schools). So much for saying he isn't afraid of the NRA. #coward #Pathetic...
Every time we go through the 'violent video game' nonsense when we look back a decade later at the games featured the whole ridiculousness of the idea really comes into focus. Remember when Mortal Combat, Doom, etc. was driving kids to violent outbursts..? Yeah, me neither.
Yes, this is comical. Literally. What is (or was, at least) the most violent show on television? Looney Toons. What did studies show that did to the mentality of little kids? Nothing. They were easily able to distinguish between make believe and reality. If watching a show or playing a game makes you go on a gun rampage...you were out there already. We have to stop with this blame mentality, and lack of personal responsibility. If you go on a gun rampage, you know whose fault that is? Yours. Nobody made you do it but you.
7,000 pairs of shoes left around the Capital, representing children killed by gun violence since Sandy Hook in 2012. http://www.news.com.au/world/north-...a/news-story/ca3d513aab4e4f22bba3618c7f4460c6
I have two dogs and have had pets my entire life, so while I agree the airline was at fault and should be punished, I also scratch my head when this gets such an immediate and direct response while school shootings get such a half-ass effort...
Wow.... a picture is indeed 1000 words. These young people will slowly change gun laws. I think the landscape regarding guns will dramatically change within 2-3 years.
