Via Isikoff and Corn we also found out more details about the Pee Tape lead in the Steele Dossier and some context around how that intelligence lead came about.

Apparently Steele’s source might have been conflating two different stories in one.

-there was a show Trump attended in Vegas that featured girls urinating with Russians
-prostitures where offered to Trump when in Russia(Trumps bodyguard even admitted this was true)
-He did stay in the same room as the Obamas stayed

But Trump was only in his hotel room from 1:30AM to 7:45AM at the latest when he was needed for a photo shoot and that was the only night he was in Moscow. So it’s highly unlikely that the sex show happened in that room that night. It seems that Steele’s source was conflating two truths into one story.

That being said that’s why Steele’s Dossier was just to be viewed as raw intelligence reports. Not fully investigated evidence used to indict a criminal. That’s what happens, intelligence collects intelligence and an investigation happens to find the truth.
