    That's not what I said.

As a thought experiment, how high could FL raise the age ban and still be constitutional?

The rational (more advanced) portion of the brain isn't fully developed until 25 or so. 25 seems reasonable.

good luck classifying people as minors until 25

by this reasoning, it would be constitutional do deny other rights until 25 (speech, association, etc.)

So, now you are talking about practicality and not a thought experiment?

No, it does not necessary need to be other rights, but for those that poses a danger to the public (driving included - yea, i know that's not in the constitution, but that's simply because cars didn't exists until recently).

There are age restrictions on gun buying throughout the country. For example, in a number of states you can't buy a handgun until you're 21.

it essentially is, since you boiled it to down to simple terms: unconstitutional to deny constitutional right. The end.

Do you think it's illegal for other states that have had 21-year-old handgun ban restrictions? Why hasn't the NRA sued them?

Do you think there's a consitutional difference between handguns, semi-automatic weapons, and automatic weapons? Can you point out the clause in the Constitution that makes that distinction?

Do you think someone with mental illness that's not convicted of a crime can or should be denied a gun? Can you point where in the Constitution that is allowed?
