btw, Nene and Iso Joe are both washed up and PJ Tucker..even though I think hes a good defender is too short to play the PF position..we got outmatched in the paint and that's the main reason why Toronto won really.

I wasn't mad when the Rockets lost, but the warriors losing really makes me smile.

Rockets lose taking the pressure from that 17 game run off the table and they are still on top of the west.

Thank you, Portland! Golden State could have regained a half game edge on us. Instead they're still a half game down. Phew!

 

Plus their next game is at Dallas. Meanwhile the Warriors will be shorthanded and exhausted going into Minnesota at 2:30 on Sunday.

 

I think we beat them in points in the paint. And they beat us from the 3 point line.

We were 31/54 from 2 for 57%. They were 26/47 from 2 for 55%. It was a wash from 2 with us slightly ahead. They didn't beat us in the paint.

 

I know, I should be more specific, but they had 12 offensive rebounds..thats what mean.

Truth. But they only had 4 more possessions than we did. The difference in the game was that they made 6 more 3's than we did. And they were only able to do that because they put up so many and we didn't.

 

Can't win every game.

I do worry the Rockets don't come out playing hard against Dallas after the emotions of the 17 game run ending.

 

Their offensive rebounds killed the Rockets. Too many 2nd chance opportunities.

 

Toronto is a tough team especially at home. Our guys played their hearts out. Even Harden tried to play some D. Despite the loss, I am OK with it. Lets get another 17 game winning streak going!!!!!! GO Rockets

 

Eh. I think they'll be fine. They may not win that one by 25+ like they should, but they'll take care of business. That Spurs game the next night does scare me though.

Do you think this team would have won had not D' Antoni gave Johnson 16 minutes?..he is such a net negative out there. lol

 

Only 1 loss in that stretch is impressive.

I couldn't agree more. And my main takeaways from tonight were what you said and:

- We needed a game like this and a loss like this. It will help us in the playoffs
- We mounted a righteous comeback and another and another before losing a very tight game against a great team
- We won 17 straight and only finally lost by 3 to the third best team in the league. Amazing
- GS lost so we're still in first
- We only lost tonight because we didn't stick to our game plan. When we do, we win. Even tonight. They didn't beat us A-game to A-game. They took away our most important offensive advantage and turned it into their advantage. And we let them. This team won't make that same mistake twice.

To me Toronto beat Rockets by playing more like Rockets than Rockets did. That's great news for our team philosophy and game plan.

 

WE WILL NOT. 68-14. Number one seed.

 

Considering we came back from 19 down on a horror road trip(fatigued legs) to tie it against an elite team on both sides of the ball with Paul playing like garbage this was a positive loss
