I've been pretty patient because D'Antoni is trying to give him some tIme to get acclimated, but he doesn't seem to be showing any improvement. When Anderson gets back Johnson will be out of the rotation, at this point its getting pretty difficult to justify giving him minutes over Green.
i don't mind trying to work him into shape. but why not wait until sunday against dallas? why fuking play this guy 16 tortuous minutes in the biggest remaining game of the season? right now JJ is THE single worst defender in the association and pringles is out of his fuking mind
Yes Joe Johnson is washed but he wasn't the reason the Rockets lost. I blame Chris Paul...... He isn't a killer like Curry,Westbrook, Kyrie, Lillard, etc...... All he wants to do is pass the ball around to role players. The Rockets will never win a championship with Paul playing this way.

His 'defense' is literally killing our team at the moment I just want to know one thing. Like if I could get one question for Dantoni this is it: What is the point of our 'small' line up if Joe Johnson is apart of it? He isn't faster or quicker then any center that was playing in todays game. Essentially our 'small' lineup with Joe Johnson is the same as a regular lineup except our center is 6'7". There is zero speed advantage, there is zero uptick in the pace of play. What is the point of that small line up?!??!??!?!??!? If you're going to include him into a small lineup it's nothing but a negative.
at this stage of his career he's a situational player, and this was definitely not the situation for him. pringles is playing him the same rotation minutes no matter the opponent, no matter the ongoing oncourt result. pure lunacy
The Rockets lost by 3. All those defensive possessions with JJ's atrocious switching cost us at least 3 pts. It's so unnecessary when we have Green on the bench. The Rockets solved one hole in their switching defense with Harden suddenly actually being above average and competent at sticking to his man off the switch . Why create a new one with Joe Johnson? He doesn't fit this defensive system with his sluggish feet .
I think the road trip will show JJ needs to play in certain spots. They got him playing the wrong role. You want him playing off the elbow or in the post. The tempo of the rox is not comfortable for him. The other thing that is annoying is how GG minutes have been taken for no reason
