MDA is the definition of a stubborn old goat that will never change.
We get it, Joe was ur guy and u wanna bring him along for the ride . But even a blind man can see....he ain't got it no more.
You have a passionate, 6'8 former slam dunk winner who can shoot, create off the dribble and reps Htown and u DNP coach's decision him multiple times for this over the hill gun slinger !????
Don't mind losing but don't do something cause u can when it's wrong.
This is why u failed with all those great suns teams......too stubborn, does not adapt.
Please remember where Morey found you. On the trash heap where nobody wanted you. Morey took a chance, revived ur career and Harden resurrected ur credential as a great coach.

Stop being so rigid and dumb.

    End rant

JJ still gots it. Coach just needs to know when to use him. Today we needed Green. But Mda wants to DNP him.. lol idk about Mda sometimes. I really hope he doesn’t make these sub mistakes during the playoffs.

I've been on Joe's side thinking he would turn the corner, but GG wouldn't have screwed up as bad as he did when the Rockets worked so hard to get in the game.

I would gladly take GG's chucks that have the potential to go in instead of JJ looking washed guarding Van Vleet ISO after merciless Van Vleet ISO.

the anthony pringles chooses not to show all his cards in the regular season, hence benching green for most of it.

this loss was by design. green will be our weapon x come post season and nobody will see it coming! huahahaha. huuuaaahahahahha!

I think the hate on Joe is a little too harsh, but I agree with everyone that says Gerald Green should be taking up 85% of his minutes.

Joe would be helpful in 2-3 minute spurts to try and get the offense ticking when even Gerald can't knock down a shot, in those really nasty slumps.

If we're really hot and don't need him then sit his ass. If we're struggling like we were tonight (in the hypothetical situation that GG was in place of JJ) THEN you try him in the offense to see if he can create something. ****.

JJ’s minutes will diminish once Ryno comes back because he is playing the backup PF.

GG is not a good enough player to warrant going full-on JJ hate.

After all, we are talking about the 10,11th guys on the roster.

Honestly I am glad that MDA is not sticking to a 7 man rotation and at least thinking of preserving his players in the reg season.

I expect that once we have our full roster, he won’t see much meaningful court time.

man, i really hope mowrie doesn't ruin his masterpiece with the seemingly inconsequential signing of joe johnson. i sometimes don't like that we let gerald green shoot 3's literally no matter how quick or well-guarded, but he just fits. he hustles on D, lets it fly from 3, and just fits this team. joe moves like he's stuck in mud, can't guard anyone, doesn't let it fly, and tries to slowly post up. he doesn't fit. please only play him if absolutely necessary. one move too many.

it felt like joe was responsible for like minus 10 points all by himself tonight.

It sucks that we had to cut Troy Williams for this scrub.

If JJ is such a great lockeroom guy , he should go up to MDA and tell him that he sucks and that green should play over him . He can tell MDA that he can get into shape vs bad teams .

The NBA is a what have you done for me lately type of league . My biggest gripe in all of this is that we benched green ( who was hot) in order to get JJ "ready for the playoffs" .

If Ryan is heathy , JJ should not see one minute of action

People thinking that MDA won't make adjustments need to remember that Ryno is a bench player now.

Can the Rockets get a refund on Brandan & Joe? ;)

I was fine with our 9 guys pre-deadline but give me Beli & Ersan if we're gonna sign two guys. Maybe Emeka.

    Derrick Rose(MIN)
    Ramon Sessions(WAS)
    Shabazz Muhammad(MIL)
    Corey Brewer(OKC)
    Trevor Booker(IND)
    Ersan Ilyasova(PHI)
    Marco Belinelli(PHI)
    Emeka Okafor(NO)
    Brandon Rush(POR)
    Troy Williams(NY)
    Tony Allen(free agent?)
    Willie Reed(free agent?)

This was the first time I can remember that a Rockets team didn’t have *that* guy. The guy you couldn’t explain why the coach plays him. Corey Brewer was that guy for a while.

    Now we do.

I know this game is more of a sit back and relax with a plate of food type game... But I thought this thread needed a bump.

    Joe looks good tonight.

Just missing shots he would normally make. Two nice postups and an open three. Decent defense.
