Come on people, don't be judgmental. He's talking like a 20-year old little ''G" and bragging his mouth, but he's being honest. At least, I'll take his word over some nerds on here who really believe he did crack.

The man’s been through a lot so we should wish him the best. Olajuwon is the man but I can imagine he was not the easiest to be around.

The passion and fire is still alive. I can empathise with his situation and though we all wish he had made some different choices, himself included, he’s somewhat owning up to things.

It’s a bit of a odd article and I guess he’s still coming to terms with everything. I wish him the best though I hope he realises how his crossover was not Hakeem like footwork.

Interesting that he thought Adelman should have played him more.

IIRC, he was pretty bad at that point in his career

Rudy struggled with it too. I see Francis at the gym, he looks fine to me (lately).

This reminded me how happy I am that Rick Adelman is gone.

I don't get why Steve gets so much hate. He was fantastic, and put Houston on the map during those struggling years. He was voted all-star starter three times for a losing team just because he was so exciting and played with such joy. He was an incredible talent.

At his peak he was basically 2013 Russell Westbrook on offense, which is flashy but also is inefficient and tragic. At the same time he was young James Harden defensively....which is also tragic.

That's pretty much why he gets hate.

I don't remember any hate for Francis like we "hate" McGrady and "hate" Dwight, because in those years post-hakeem there were no expectations, and therefore no potential disappointment.

Well yeah, the Steve Francis years were some pretty dark days for the Rockets and that's why he's largely remembered positively. Also, we got to trade him for McGrady before his game REALLY got bad.
