    If MDA is behind this insurgence on defense - I give him ultimate props! I LOVE the d and was always concerned with the 1 trick pony aspect of our gameplan last year... so once again, if he's the guy that has brought about the focus on the defensive end - I rescind all my comments regarding him and give him ultimate kudos! ...the thing is, at no point in his career has MDA given a damn about defense - so I find it kinda hard to believe this is his doing... but hey, i could be wrong...

    1. experimantation & chemisty - new players - cp3, tucker, lmm -1st yr, jj - 1st month
    2. had to maximize 3rd highest paid player/20% of the cap ryno - before the trade deadline
    3. injuries
    4. pre all-star break/trade deadline focus = best offense highest offensive rating
    5. post all-star break/trade deadline focus = best mix of offense/defense highest net rating
