We only hate TB because how much of a downgrade he is to Capela. Capela is actually just too good for our system.
Tarik Black is certainly a terrible player. Essentially only a leaper with a big 6'8" frame. He is weak at every other aspect of the game.
I think we would have cleaner offensive sets if we played with only 4 excluding black. have him stay in the back court. clearly i'm joking but he is really good about messing up the rhythm, timing, functionality of our own offensive sets. seriously, he's the opponents best defender on some of these sets.
Tarik Black isn't bad tonight. He is bad every night. I honestly don't see anything he's good at. He's easy to score against, isn't an offensive threat, not good with free throws. The only thing I see him good at is effort. But his effort is still futile as he doesn't come up with the ball when trying to rebound or hustling for loose balls. He tries to defend, but the opponent scores anyway.
I feel a lot of the mistakes he makes is a result of just not playing all that much. I’m not sure how much the Rockets practice during the year either. He’s a decent player who’s good to have on your bench for depth purposes to sustain injury stretches. Can’t rely on him for the playoff rotation, though.
Both Black and Nene frustrated me last night over and over.... and over and over and over. So glad that Luc stepped up and we gutted out a win.
Hopefully we can get him a ring on his way out of the NBA. Hope he invests his money well, prospers, and lives out a successful life.
