The 40 times for Safeties were just ridiculous today. Yes and yes, among other things it’s supposed to measure proprioception and body control. Absofrikkinlutely, no matter what we do otherwise. But he won’t fall anywhere close to our picks.
Zierlein says teams are pretty convinced that Hill just can’t stop smoking long enough to pass a drug test, so he’ll likely always be in the weed program.
No, it means you end up suspended if you keep failing drug tests. Like Josh Gordon, great player who missed a lot of football.
As a Longhorn and a fan of Hill’s game, I have the same concerns. Failed twice under Strong (the ultimate players coach) and then a 3rd time under Herman. With that said, I expect him to go somewhere in the 2nd assuming he doesn’t slip up in the next month or so. Has everything you look for in a CB.
Well, he was clean for the combine. I've heard that he's gotten the help he needed to stay clean. The reason you listed above is the only reason he will last until the 3rd rd. High risk/High reward type pick in the 3rd rd. I would be willing to accept that risk since if Hill busts all you've lost is a 3rd rd pick. If you hit on Hill you've gained a 1st rd talent.
Texans met with: -Braden Smith, tackle/guard, Auburn -Frank Ragnow, center/guard, Arkansas -Chukwuma Okorafor, OT, Western Michigan -Donte Jackson, CB, LSU -Jessie Bates, safety, Wake Forest Also: http://walterfootball.com/nflrumors/teamdraft/17-32#9pGDmbejoyL577OB
Wondering if they would've met with guys like Nix, Strong, Brennan and Trevardo Williams, Montgomery, etc...could they do it all over again. It'll be interesting to see how Gaines handles things. Believe they met with Foreman at the combine and then at their local pro day.
Jordan Thomas, TE from Miss. St. is a beast. Good blocker, good hands. Would be a great get late 3rd, 4th round.
