What a load of crap. Workers in Unions get higher wages for the same jobs. It's crap that people can opt out of the union but still enjoy the same wages for which the union members have fought.

Poor @Rocketman1981 He's trying to fight the last war where Republicans claimed to have a coherent ideology based on free markets or budget balancing or neocon foreign policy.

Instead it was actually the Racism, the Rich and the Russians that kind of make it all go. But really mostly the racism. And here we are.

    It's not 2007 sadly.

What scares me about the turnover is what we are left with. Some early moves were good (ie Flynn to McMaster), but at this point is there any indication someone like McMaster would come work with this WhiteHouse? What kind of slime balls would actually sign up for this sh$&?

My fear is they will just leave positions vacant and consolidate more power towards Trump. That’s kind of how authoritarians roll I guess. Make things so toxic that nobody wants to work for the executive branch to the point where the president/supreme leader is making nearly every decision with nobody to say that’s a bad decision.

If Mattis gets targeted by Trump that’s when we should really be concerned. Nothing would be worse for the country going down this road than turning over the keys of our military to this d******d so he can use it as his own personal mob.

    Yep.

...and I'm afraid that, unfortunately, if the Donald ever WERE to give that order, that there are more than a few in the military who would be more than thrilled to carry it out...

    ...just like old times. #MAGA.

So my perspective on the military cooperation would be "is this legal" of what he's asking me. I think the president, under the constitution has a great deal of authority, but there certainly are limitations. Also while the President has abilities, and can abuse the hell out of the military, Congress has the oversight power to step in.

Its not something I think we have to worry about unless Mattis is fired, and you see a MAJOR purge in the high command of the military. But firing Mattis would certainly signal Trump's intentions at making the military work more for Trump than the American interest.

*Worst case scenario - (How America becomes a dictatorship) If for some reason though Congress impeached trump, voted him out of office, and lets say Trump orders 1000 troops to the White House to keep him in power, you'd find very few military folks that would be willing to head to the White House and potentially kill law enforcement officials trying to arrest Trump. Most would choose dishonorable discharge over being put in that situation. I don't know many military folks that would choose a presidential order over breaking the law and potentially committing murder against honorable and respected law enforcement officials who would be ordered by the courts to remove Trump. They especially wouldn't do that for someone with the low amount of respect as Trump has.

Again though... I think we have no reason to worry about that yet like the Right was so sure Barrack would do for 8 years.

(Can't tell you how many times I heard the "Martial Law" theory w/ Obama with people dead convinced he was going to do this)
