Other than Skip who keeps an eternal flame burning in a devotional altar to it in his sparsely furnished condo ...

...not a whole lot of people remember last year's WC semis as it's basically a footnote to the Warriors juggernaut roll to the title.

Let's be real. Had last year's Rockets squad somehow ground it out against the Spurs in 6 or 7, do they even win 1 freaking game against a historically great Warriors team? They're lucky if they match the total of their predecessors and lose 4-1. Cleveland won a single game and it took only the greatest offensive performance by one team in history.

One thing I learned from this game is that "Players Only" should play the game, not announce it!

It was actually, "Where the f*** was the help? Jesus Christ!" And he was also talking to Westbrook btw...

I think he ended with “he’s been doing that all night!”

And that was on WB...he didn’t even move just waiting outside so he could grab a rebound

Too few syllables for that to have been said IMO. Definitely a JC in there, sorry! But yeah, WB with some primo seats on that play!

Utterly cringeworthy mentioning the pace will slow down.... as if that will hurt Houston... yet during the win streak Houston have the slowest pace of play in the League.

Stop thinking ex-players make decent analysts - it's not going to happen.

The increasing urbanization of basketball broadcasts is a disturbing trend.

Unless Deke and Yao do it. I'd pay for that.

I used to be slightly worried about an OKC matchup in the playoffs but honestly now I'm more worried about the Blazers in the 2nd round. After that then perhaps the Spurs should Kawhi make some late return and plays into shape.

I guess you can call that PTSD because those two teams have already knocked out Harden

But OKC doesn't look very good. They will be fortunate to make the playoffs. I feel like the Rockets toyed with them, turned it up a notch, finished them. It was lovely to watch.

How about Nate Rob's dated take "the Rockets will allow you back into the game..."

The Rockets proceed to maintain the lead at double digits for the rest of the game.

All that aside, I like the Players Only broadcasts. It's not insightful in terms of numbers-based (or correct) basketball analysis, but they are entertaining. I enjoyed Nate Rob's debut.

For some reason, the Rockets have a bunch of haters who dislike them, for reasons that are purely subjective or emotional. The Warriors have that (see: Clutchfans) and the Cavs have that. If you don't have any haters, you're not doing it right.

On to Milwaukee to destroy Giannis and Co.

Who is this guy again? What's his name/which show is this from? Reason I am asking is that there is a politician in Germany who looks exactly like that.

It all depends if OKC, can put it all together come playoffs, but i seen alot of 3pt jackin and bad shots by George, and Melo, and there right near the end, this is something that caused them to lose the game. George nor Melo dont seem like they really fit each other on this team. Which makes them a team i say houston or anyone else is not gonna fear come playoff time.

Outside of Okc big three they really dont have anyone that can score, play consistent defense, nor do they have a good 6th man option coming off the bench. To me they really need to buy out melo or whatever, and build a better team around george and westbrook, add defensive pieces, and guys who can come off the bench to provide that plus offense. They lack 3-4 great role players(Like a tucker,or and ariza) that could get them to good record, and where houston is.

rockets schedule is killer brutal over the next few weeks and we are inevitably going to fall behind oakland for the 1st seed. that's when all these fools will really stand up and shriek about how bad houston is "see i told ya so yes i did"

They are thirsty for it. Rockets already getting the, "Yeah they are on a 16 game run, but they are only .5 games up on GSW."

Rockets overtook GSW while on this run.

They're already rooting for us to die. It's the strangest thing to listen to all the heads cry for the last 24 months about the same old CLE vs. GSW showdown and then when a team steps up, is scary legit, reels off 16 in a row, is pounding everyone, no, hold on, we're now smoke and mirrors and they want to write us off before we even get there.

I just heard some idiot odds maker John Campbell on Clay Travis' show state that Cleveland is now built to take us down and there is no way we can stop GSW in the playoff?!?!?!?

If our D/Rebounding improves then the slow pace will benefit us too. OKC won't be able to score freely, and our guys can capitalize
on turnovers. Our ball movement as this pace will also continue help to create points for us, as you have correctly pointed out.
We have to be patient and show discipline, OKC will implode.
