What did you think of him overall? I enjoyed his commentary. I thought he was refreshing. I like his voice.

I'm really surprised that a lot of people enjoyed his commentary (You aren't the only one, don). I thought he was kind of annoying. I did like that it sounded like there was a fan doing the commentary, but It was disappointing he gave little insight into what was going on. He was just reacting to every call like a fan would.

The more we watch these "Player Only" broadcasts the more the "You don't know anything if you didn't play" stuff goes out the window. The players are just like us. They aren't paying that much attention, just like us. They make surface level opinions, just like us. I think the only thing they are good for is an interesting anecdote.

Even though Nate played at a high level in the NBA, you can tell he wasn't really paying attention to other players or teams. The stuff he was saying was the same tired played-out stuff every one says about the Rockets.

he also seemed to really be rooting for OKC.

    he was aight, I guess.

I can appreciate the sentiment here, but you play every single team to beat them. When we play the GSW, we play GSW defense. When we play OKC, we play OKC style defense.

The top 4 seeds in the West are on a combined 39 game winning streak.

@heypartner do you know if anyone else broadcasted the OKC game? I want to make a gif out of that Harden full court pass, but TNT had the camera on Westbrook. Nate Robinson starts laughing. (It's @ 3:40 left in the 1st quarter)

Derek Fisher: You saw there on the drive, Carmelo with 2 fouls, really had to keep his arms straight out. Harden tried to grab that arm to get the foul, still able to get down and finish. *Harden misses a FT and no one says a thing* You see his numbers.. I mean I don't see any way that he doesn't win the MVP in my opinion. I think LeBron could be in the running every year for what he does, what he brings to the game. But I do think that James Harden has had an MVP season.

Nate Robinson: He definitely has. Just alone getting his team the victories that they have. The winning streak they've been on. Everything is going up.. you know.. skyrocketing through the roof and it's fun to watch. There's no way that he will not win MVP.

Brent Barry: Saw the numbers there with him guys. He's averaging 31.2 points. The last 3 MVPs in the league have averaged 30 points. Durant in '14, Curry in '16 and Westbrook in '17. Harden at 31.2 and add three more *Harden swishes a three*...

Who was telling these guys to shut up and that they hate Harden? They're kissing his tail here.

I was at a business party last night, and I could only steal glances at the game on a tv in the next room. Every time I stole a glance, Harden was turning it over-- and yet we were up. We must've played some defense!

    same here..

my guess it was Harden...he should never ever come back to the game when reserves are playing well and we have a comfortable lead...he comes in with low energy and gamble on thread the needle bounce passes when all we need is to drain the clock... and when they press him he cant move or picks up the dribble with nowhere to go...he is also prone to needlessly force refs to blow the whistle when they are less prone to do it...when you are in possession of the ball dont go into risky situations where whistles may be silent... refs arent gonna give you ticky tacky calls(even if you legally get fouled) down the stretch when home crowd is on and the home team is trying to come from behind..you gotta be smart

you don't need harden when you're up by 15 points the opponent playing like dead and you have all the momentum... he is a volatile player prone to serial turnovers and collapses...theres really not need for harden to play in those type of situations

I don’t mind them “mailing it in” I call it pacing themselves. We already knew we had this in the bag, they were toying with OKC the entire game.
