God MDA is such a mediocre coach... I can't believe he played right into the Thunder's hands and subbed out Capela when they started hacking him.

LET THEM HACK HIM, HE'S A 60% FT SHOOTER, HOW ARE NBA COACHES THIS BAD AT BASIC MATH

Sweet, ESPN did a recap of the streak's best moments, and they showed a clip of Harden celebrating backstage with Dream and CP3 after the 60 point triple double game. Then they showed a clip of the bench continuing to poke fun at Ryno after his hot game.

Am I the only one that noticed Harden's locker labeled as " El Chapo" ? Or maybe thats not his but just some random name the OKC staff stuck on there to mess with visiting teams.

This is the harden we need in the postseason. As long as he isn't settling for those step back 3s and continue to attack the rim I won't have much to complain about....maybe

Don’t get upset Melo. Give credit where credit is due. The Rockets are just good.

    https://www.theringer.com/nba/2018/3/1/17067474/houston-rockets-los-angeles-clippers-best-team

"Black is one of the many role players that the Rockets have added to complement their core. The sixth-year center has been limited to 10 minutes a game, but he’s done more for the team than just grab rebounds. He’s part of the reason why before every away game Rockets equipment manager Anthony Nila grabs a roll of tape and a black Sharpie and places a strip above each player’s locker with their nickname and number in bold.

Black is “Reverend,” Mbah a Moute is “Prince,” Gerald Green is “Boy Wonder,” Harden is “El Chapo,” and the newly arrived Joe Johnson is “Joe Crack.” Trevor Ariza is just “One,” while Capela is “Swizy.”

“It’s camaraderie. The guys love it,” Nila said. He said that Black was behind many of the nicknames.

“Ryan [Anderson] is the original,” Black said. “When I came on the team … we started coming up with nicknames for everybody, and they started running with them. So, now everybody has a nickname.”

It got close AFTER Capela was subbed out (and the Rockets played lazy defense thereafter). Utterly stupid moves by both coaches.

That’s 1.2 PPP which is good, but the Rockets can achieve that with their normal offense in small ball lineups. More importantly, allowing OKC to keep sending him to the line gives them more possessions to mount a comeback.

Can't expect too much more than that, although I would like to see him
playing respectable defense. Nevertheless, he proved to be useful for us.

I haven’t heard the word defense coming out of the rockets players mouths so regularly since the JVG days to be honest . Even James is playing D . He had another 4 steals tonight

It was never close. Sure they made easy baskets but so did we from the free throw line

I was thinking the same thing. Harden occasionally does some dumb stuff in the final minutes of the game. CP3 is smart, composed, hits free throws, and makes good decisions. He commands respect but seems to get along with everyone. He is the perfect closer.

Things were getting sloppy at the end of this game and he came in and got things back on track. I'm so glad we landed him!

The Rockets average 1.13 ppp, which is second best in the NBA. If a decent defensive team is literally handing you 1.2 ppp on a platter (probably even more than that when you take into account the possibility of an offensive rebound an opportunity to score), you take that **** and run. Not to mention that free throws if anything HURT the Thunder offense per possession, even if it gives them more possessions. They give the Rockets defense a near guaranteed chance to get back and setup.

There's a reason that all the numbers show comebacks were rarely mounted even when teams hacked guys like DeAndre Jordan... a fuggin 40% FT shooter in his time. It's a Hail Mary... and there's no reason to overreact to it, especially when you're up 15 pts.

    Hack-a-whoever IS ST000000000PID. Especially when we're talking about a 60% FT shooter.

All I see is regret in those eyes. He could be enjoying a 16 game win streak with a top 2 seed on lock but he's stressing about even making the playoffs. Should've never waived that no-trade clause...
