Wow... republicans saying Democrats are not the party of "personal responsibility"? Wow. Wow. I hadn't heard that before. Wow.

Well, you have now posted an 8-page thread to say Democrats are not the party of personal responsibility. You work is done here. Unless you want to start a new thread on such tired tripe as "Democrats are the party of Tax and Spend." That one might even get 9 pages...

Not sure what that has to do with anything. Why was it seemingly a bad thing that the one poster posted around 2:00 AM? Why is that a bad or wrong or questionable thing in your mind?

Shoot...I wonder why so many posters are posting during typical work hours, but I assume the have their perfectly valid reasons.

You brought up "tone" and"socialism" for some reason I have yet to fathom. I asked if you were against a program instigated by the Democratic Party in the 1930's, which is certainly a "socialist" program. Are you against Social Security?

Im against Democrats ignoring communities taking more responsibility in improving themselves

    Particularly on crime

Don't know why you're talking about these other subjects

"Beneath" him? Does that mean he is too good for this thread? If not, what does it mean? Was your implied insult of "being off his meds" "extra" as well?

Don't care, not to be nasty
    It's not hard

Edit:. Again if Democrats want to take guns

They should be more serious about underlying causes of crime

Because people want guns for protection

    What's not to understand?

I've told you that saying, "Democrats want to take guns" is a bogus argument. I'm a gun owner. Most of the Democrats I know, which is a significant number, own at least one gun. The GOP yelled as loud as they could in 2002 and 2008 that, "Obama's going to take your guns." Nothing of the sort happened. Gun sales actually went up while he was in office. Being for banning assault rifles is not the same thing as making a blanket statement that, "We want to take your guns." That's complete BS. I know some Republicans who want assault rifles banned. They were banned for a decade and somehow the republic survived. No one wants to take your pistol, or your shotgun, or your deer rifle. We want to ban weapons who's only purpose is to kill human beings as quickly and easily as possible. Assault rifles like an AR-15 have 3 times the muzzle velocity that a typical deer rifle has. The damage they do to a human body is far, far worse than what a pistol or deer rifle does in the same situation. Look it up.

What's not to understand? Whatever you have going on in your mind, pgabriel. Democrats are serious about reducing crime. Considering that Republicans, when they had the chance, blocked every legislative effort by President Obama to do anything, I'm not sure what you think Democrats aren't doing. Your statements are so broad and nebulous that they mean almost nothing, with all due respect. You make statements, people reply, and you don't respond. All you do is repeat the same statements again, as if that means anything. It doesn't, not if you don't say what you would do, and ignore the posts many of us have made here.

Maybe you need some meds. Your entire thread is an incoherent ramble. I mean, wow.

The same ole detached, obtuse nonsense. Capitalism requires poverty. It's inherent. If you raised the base level of education in capitalism, a higher level of education would simply be required to get a good job. That's how capitalism works. So these stats that you guys like to trot out about how to avoid poverty are really just vacuum stats. They're not real in the practical world, just another slogan for you loons to trot out about how the few can escape the many, pretending to the be rule rather than the exception. There's always poverty in capitalism.

Secondly, I find it funny how middle class white guys talk about how easy it is to grow up poor and brown with all that experience you have in doing so. All that experience going to crappy schools, with gangs and drug use, with underpaid teachers who don't give a damn, with perhaps one parent who works all the time and has a low level education, with food deserts, a gun store and liquor store on every corner, etc. What would you know about what's easy for those people?
