I think last year everyone was convinced his team sucked because he had no help.

    This year though....

Two All Stars become nobodies when the team up with Westbrook.

Nobody becomes All Star when he leaves Westbrook.

I like how he’s low key gunning to average another triple double.

WOW OKC added Paul George, and Melo to a core of Westbrook (MVP) and Steve Adams, and they may actually be worst then last years 47 win team and sixth seed.. for them to get 46 wins and 36 losses they have to go 9 and 8.. I seriously don't see them doing better then this with their remaining schedule.. whats even scarier for them is, that record could very well put them out of contention for playoffs.. They play rockets twice, spurs twice, warriors, celtics, raptors, portland, pelicans, nuggets, and clippers.. They also play miami twice who have a winning record and trying to hold onto 8th seed.. Thats 13 very losable games.. what sucks is if they make the playoffs they will more then likely be 7th or 8th seed and I know neither warriors nor rockets want to see them first round..

From SI.com: "The Thunder’s last win over a playoff team came nearly a month ago on Feb. 6, when they defeated the Warriors. Since then, OKC has lost to all winning teams its played and eked out wins over lottery opponents. The Andre Roberson injury is a serious problem here, and it’s one Corey Brewer may not be able to fix."

OKC is a fool's gold team. Out in the first round IF they make the playoffs.

looks like a real possibility that they may miss the playoffs, that would be hilarious, considering that they added that much star power

I mean if they’re 7 or 8 seed, there’s a reason why right? Are they all in a sudden going to click and play amazing ball? I doubt it. Melo sucks on that team. PG is so streaky and WB is who he is. They just have no cohesion and no identity. With them seeding so low, I’m sure PG has it in the back of his head and looking g forward to next year and being on the Lakers

Exactly. I remember when the Rockets were an 8th seed (1 loss from the 9th seed) after going to the western conference finals the year before. I was holding out hope the Rockets weren't as bad as their Record that year. Rockets were as bad as their record.

Everyone in the media thinking OKC has another gear is kidding themselves. This is the gear.

If the fact that the idiot media made a now very obvious brain dead descison makes you feel better about the fact that your team is a train wreck.... then more power to you.

Trade most of your young talent and picks away for one year rentals then they may not even make the playoffs :D

Where was WB in 2016? Where is he this year? 3 years in a row harden has been the favorite or runner up for MVP.

Westbrook sacrificed his teams success for his fake stat accomplishment, and the media fell for it. Dudes shooting percentages and advanced stats were garbage not much different than this year.

WB is nothing more than Stephon Marbury or Carmelo Anthony. Plays dumb and selfish... he will never lead any team to a championship.

Enjoy the newly evolved Oklahoma City Dumpster Fires...

They were more of a team last year when they were all on board with helping Westbrook pad his stats. I'm a huge WB fan, but Harden deserved it. In the end, the better 'narrative' won.

This is why I really hope he can average a triple double this year so that narrative can get dumped on some more.

So happy Westbrick is finally getting exposed this year.

Why are people surprised every time this happens? Allen Iverson, Starbury, Francis, D. Rose and now Westbrick. The league has always had a supremely athletically gifted undersized SG who masquerades as a PG when he doesn't know **** about making plays for other people, Westbrick is just the latest in a slew of this me-first blackholes every NBA generation has at least one representative of this type of player.

You can win with these type of people but you need to 100% build around them, like 3 Andre Robersons and Dikembe Mutombo as your center type of build around. What OKC needs to do if they really want to commit to Westbrick is dump Paul George and Melo and get serious defenders at every position who can't score. Pairing him with scorers is just a waste of time because Westbrick hogs all the shots anyway, that is just redundant. But OKC better be quick because Westbrick is 100% dependent on his athleticism, once his legs go he will become a bonafide scrub so Presti better move fast, Westbrick is donzo once he reaches 30.

Although tbh these types of players may be obselete in today's NBA. Why would you bother building around Westbrick when there are so many capable stars who can play well together? It too high a commitment for so little gain.

Because people are wowed by athletic dunks and spectacular drives to the basket. They forget it takes 5 to win a championship.

I don't care what anyone here says. You do not want to play this team in the first round. Harden/Capela would be guarded by George/Adams for an entire series. Unless the Rockets swept them, you would most likely have 2 of the top 3 players banged up and tired by the end of the series.

There are many better options for the Rockets in my opinion.
