I am surprised he didn't give a thumbs up... still looks like he is on a vacation or a sales trip.

Last time I saw it polled, like 40% of Republicans said they would be okay suspending the elections if Trump wanted to.

I think people underestimate how many people in this country are actually down for authoritarianism. They’ll never say they support it, but their ideal worldview is exactly that. They just think that back in 1950, the country was this way because the country was more strict. So authoritarianism is their answer even if they won’t admit.

Trump floating this out there only one year into his presidency is no mistake or off the cuff remark. Watch this closer in the future.

Dufus-in-chief still trying to sell his insane tariff idea. And sure seems he focused on how other world leaders are laughing at the US. Where he is wrong is thinking they laughed at past presidents...,

I'm sure alot of Germans did not think Germany would go the way it did
    or Italians . . . . .etc

Authoritartianism is the whole frog in the water experiment
You have to raise the heat slowly and steadily over time
Some are thinking now is nearing the end time

Surprised this isn’t a bigger deal. Maybe Trump stupidity fatigue.

    Trump sure likes his dictators.

I knew very little about trump before he ran for president, just that he made cameos on sitcoms, bankrupt a lot, Nas used his first wife's name in a sick verse and had an opinion on bella cheating on her vampire boyfriend. I didn't know his hatred for immigrants south of the border ran so deep and he was a DEMOCRAT before flipping. I just thought he was get off my lawn guy. the guy is very disturbed like many who have a thirst for ABSOLUTE power.

So I'm very curious as to how republican politicians and everyday supporters of trumpism would be handling this, if he said and did all of this as a member of the democratic party. I wish we could do alternate modern history. I would still be repulsed by it. I would still like his twitter feed though and his taste for Ivanka.

Yea well, the audience clearly thought it was a joke. Not to be taken seriously.

Spoken words from someone that like to speak their mind give you glimpses into his inner thoughts. It’s no surprise that he would want him and his family to be in power forever.

it's always a joke until he hears the applause, then it's like: "everyone is totally talking about how tremendous it would be if I was president for life. The failing New york times called me this morning and thanked me in advance for the ratings in the many many many many many years to come. cometh like stormy."
