In a loaded West, Anthony Davis is knocking at the door most years, with a collection of guano around him.

Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon looked mediocre next to Davis, yet next to Harden they are so much better help than Steven Adams and Victor Oladipo that it “negated” Harden’s MVP candidacy last year.

And the *only* reason that happened was because it was Durant's injury year.

Amazing how that never gets brought up in the media.

Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson are definitely better fits for Westbrook/Harden than Victor Oladipo, who gives you duplicative skills in a less efficient manner. With guys like Westbrook and Harden, you always take the shooter, unless you are getting a supreme talent like CP3.

That said, the Westbrook/Adams pick and roll has been devastating for years now. Those guys are perfect for eachother.

nah, that's the same argument that Harden & CP3 is not a good fit, and a 3&D player such as Beverley is better next to Harden.

In NBA, the more stars you have on your roster, the better. It's really this simple, and even Morey agrees with this. He values talent over chemistry, fit, and everything else, because that has been the most proven winning formula.

Last year's OKC team had way more talent than people gave credit for, and it's an indictment on Russ that he couldn't even win 50 games with Adams, Kanter, Roberson, and Oladipo as his supporting cast.

Surprised your b-ball knowledge is that inept.

AD hasn’t won a playoff game.

    Booker is empty stats

Westbrook has never raised his teammates level and Melo hasn’t been good since his first year in NY.

    These players aren’t winners.

    And neither is Tmac....

You think Oladipo is a better fit for last years Rockets than Eric Gordon?

    Enes Kanter? Andre Roberson?

    LOL...

AD has had trash teams, Booker is 21.

    AGAIN, BOOKER IS 21...

Westbrook was a jumper away from a Finals appearance, and probably a ring.

    Good call, a 21 year old isn't a winner! :D

No, it is a completely different argument.

    Gordon/Harden or Oladipo/Harden?

    Exactly...

Portland is still a whopping 12 games behind the Rockets

what Dame is doing is cute, but please, this MVP race has been over...the media keeps hopping from Bron, to AD, to now Lillard, but all these dudes are just fighting for 2nd place

I have to stop getting triggered by "MVP Consideration".

It's such a throw-away phrase this year because Harden is running away with the award.

They aren't saying these guys are close to Harden, just put them on the list somwhere below him.

In the year of the GOAT James Harden, it's an honor just to be considered.

How is Oladipo not an all-star? He's having a fantastic year

Sure, you have to vote for 5 people anyway, would Lillard deserve one of those votes? maybe over one of the Golden state boys
