It's hard to live through a mass shooting, or have a friend/relative affected by one, and maintain the idea that our gun laws are A-OK as is.

I feel for Matt... his son just goes through a traumatic experience and Matt got first hand experience that no parent should have to go through... and now all the yahoos are attacking him through Twitter and other social media.
yes i am on his side and yes the emotional stress he has to be going through right now has to be high. But he does have a platform and i feel he went a bit extreme on the last tweets with talks about completely removing guns. We cant have civil conversations with gun owners that way. It has to be done calmly, small steps, and logical moves
People have been taking this approach since the Brady Bill and 20+ years later, the gun lobby is the most powerful it's ever been with their slippery slope rhetoric. I don't know what the answer is, but moderation is a poor opening tactic for negotiation right now
Hopefully neither you nor I have to understand the feeling of having a child somewhere and hearing "active shooter" on that campus. Yes, this case was not a mass shooting, thank god, but it's fine if it moved Bull to get fired up. For now, that's his right as an American.
