I think you misunderstood me. What I meant was from this point on, the Rockets can afford to lose one more game than the Warriors do the rest of the way, thus ending up with the same record, thus tie-breaker rules favoring the Rockets.

Freaking those 4 losses to the Clippers and Lakers. Gee. Had we won at least two of those, it's not even a question at this point.

You mean J Lin 7, They didn't want anymore gayness in the locker room occurring, too much distraction to keep your head in the game literally.

We're so deep I don't even worry about the schedule. Everybody on the bench is hungry for minutes. I hope we rest CP3 a couple games down the stretch. Green, Gordon and Harden can hold it down

Well that Denver/Utah road b2b definitely felt like a point we could have slipped up and we made it through that...

I feel like the Warriors are trolling us. They're giving us false praise only to be secretly plotting on ways they can mentally defeat us. They're trying to make us feel comfortable at the same time putting ALL the pressure on us by putting us on this imaginary peddle stool. The Rockets better be prepared for a complete blood bath if we face them.

We would actually need to slip up twice and have them win out, since we own the tie breaker.

Besides, if we can't beat these teams, then we don't deserve the #1 seed anyways. Let's just play ball and see what happens, no need to over-analyze the schedules.

This. Home court doesn't matter much against Golden State. The most important thing is not to let them sit on the easier side of the bracket and just steamroll to the WCF.

More important than home court is whether we are able to hit our 3s. When we are shooting well and defending well we can beat anyone. Gives us a 50/50 shot against GSW.

The Rockets FTR is much higher at home than on the road. That's key.

All fair points but it's just funny that your version of teams we should beat are teams that we lost against.

Honestly, I don't think the difference between 1st/2nd is all that significant this year. Both the Rockets and Warriors are pretty much at parity on the road v at home, and HCA means even less in the playoffs than in the regular season because of the days of rest between games.

With the number of "silly" losses the Rockets had this year, it really is conceivable they COULD have had a 70-win season....

Totally, 4 losses to Memphis and Lakers. 6 losses to non-playoff teams ( I think the clippers will fall off). Just take 4 out of those 6 losses, we would be at 51 and 9 right now, just need to go 19-2 for the rest. Sigh.

Do we still need to sign more bench players?
