And this is why Aaron Gordon should be Rockets target in off season.

We will never win a championship with James "Pistol Pete" Harden as the primary ball handler.

Do we need to make trades to sign Lebron or Cousins this summer?

    Dunno.

But for sure more @justtxyank useless, non-clever, crappy, non-basketball troll posts than both of those combined.

He's an upgrade to Nene for sure when healthy....unless Nene magically turns it on late. Don't know whether he's an upgrade to Capela or not. The key to whether he is an upgrade is his paint defense. It has to be better than Nene's because Nene's defense has been atrocious. It would be great if Weighs paint defense was better than Capela's. That's a wait and see thing. I am very, very cautiously optimistic. Wright needs to take Nene's rotation minutes at the very least. If he doesn't then we got no improvement in the defensive paint and it remains the Achilles heel of this team.

    Helen ... Holic is a believer. :D :D
    Skip Bayless is next.

This is better than the crossover+staring down on Wes Johnson

Solid idea but I fear he will cost a little too much and is a little too young to accept anything else but being a key cog and that isn't going to happen with Harden and Paul on this team.

Not that I think Capela isn't a good rim protector, he clearly is not only a good shot blocker and rebounder, he's getting more and more aware about when to challenge a shot and when to stay home. He has that quick second bounce as well, so he manages to contest and still fight for the rebound. So, yeah, I think he is very good. But we really needed a second reliable rim protector. I absolutely hate to see KD on D, he's so good as a rim protector it's not fair. Green is such a good rotator, their interior D will give us all sorts of problems in the playoffs. We don't have that second man coming from the weak side. Tucker is too small, LMM and Ariza are not tall enough to compensate the fact that they are not that strong. So, as much as I know OP doesn't want to face the reality that he was and continues to be so very wrong about CC, he actually has a point about our ability to challenge shots at the rim. GS cuts and manufacture lot's of easy shots in the paint, only thing that concerns me with the current roster is, indeed, the lack of rim protection from the 4 spot.

JJ can’t shut down 4 positions, but he can switch and guard 4 positions. The effectiveness of JJ and Ryan guarding a player like Draymond could be considered equal, but the effectiveness of JJ and Ryan gaurding someone like Steph or Klay, would be highly in JJs favor...

That's simply not true - watch JJ now. He is really limited in his mobility at his age. JJ can't guard Steph or Klay measurably better than Anderson - JJ has poor lateral movement at this stage in his career which is why scrubs are blowing by him on the perimeter.

Only your longstanding dislike of Capela could make you think Wright is a better center. Or more accurately, your longstanding position against Capela causes you to continue with the same stance, despite all evidence to the contrary.

And there are two n's in "millennial."

Have no long-standing dislike of Capela. I'm simply a realist. He hasn't proven something. Hopefully he will in these playoffs.

OP you're a fool once again.

The Rockets give up a lot of points in the paint because they are a disciplined defensive team - that is they don't foul - so they are going to give up a ton of points in the paint but not so many free throws and that bears fruit.

Also, the Rockets are an average defensive team in terms of forcing missed shots. But the brilliance to their defense is not fouling and focusing on securing the defensive rebound - they are tops in the league there.

Furthermore they are a top team in steals.

The best in steals, defensive rebounding, and very high is not giving up too many FT's and that's why our defensive is in the top 10. If we focus on trying to slow down paint scoring (which are 2 point shots by the way), we will give up more offensive rebounds, get less steals, and give up more free throws which are a very high percentage shot.

So now, the Rockets are not going to rank great in points in the paint and they don't have to so long as they are tops in other defensive categories.

Glad to see you are confident that our paint defense is good enough.
