We traded CP3 for essentially Lou WIlliams and always injured Pat Bev. Montrez is meh. Sam Dekker is a certified bust, one of the worst players in the association. Far from a kings ransom.
Kings ransom? We gave up 2nd and 3rd string players for CP3...The Kyrie/IT trade is hindsight now but IT was a MVP candidate last season so at that moment in time, Celtics trade pieces were more valuable than ours.
Sam "white Corey Brewer" Dekker. Thank you for contributing in the Chris Paul trade. Enjoy playing for the clitters
I was watching the Clippers last night and thinking to myself wow we really had Dekker played key minutes last season
no offense that is such a dumb statement. Oladipo is much much better than all the pieces combined, and he's 25. Lou Williams is turning out great, but he's 31 and really didn't excel when he was with us. Beverley is and always has been injury prone. We didn't really give up anything of significant in the trade imo
That's bizarre. I really thought he would be able to become a good shooter. Oh well at least he's got that lawn mowing business he can fall back on.
Dodged a bullet? There really wasn't a bullet to dodge. He makes less than 2M per year, so he's easy to move. And, we weren't forced to play him. We dodged a bullet with Parsons, and maybe Carmelo. We took a direct hit with Anderson.
Come on man. I dislike Portions but he was 10 times the player Dekker is. Portions could handle the ball, shoot the flat 3, drive to the rim, had an elite pump fake and brought in several models and marketing power. As for Dekker, he is best known for dribbling ball off his nose
FTW, I know you've been gone for a while but you've got to keep up. You're not paying attention to the right posters:
