With this contract he'll make more than he did as a player. Amazing.

Didn't JVG max out at $6 million a year?

$35 mi; that's probably more than he made during his entire NBA player career. Lol.

Calling it now: Lue will win COTY next season, then get fired the season after.

I'm glad to have witnessed the birth of a coaching genius. I'll be able to tell my children someday that I've followed the great Lue since the beginning. What a time to be alive.

Any championship winning coach should be rewarded with a solid deal, but the money is a little high. I don't see anyone else paying him that kind of money, there's no threat out there. But it doesn't affect their cap, so whatever. Not my money.

He should give 95% of it for Lebron. He got the old coach fired and won him a ring.

    Perfect pic of Blatt haha

In case anyone was wondering (which you prob weren't) here are his salaries as a player (source http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/luety01.html).

1998-99 Los Angeles Lakers NBA $287,500
1999-00 Los Angeles Lakers NBA $809,280
2000-01 Los Angeles Lakers NBA $865,800
    2001-02 Washington Wizards NBA $1,700,000
    2002-03 Washington Wizards NBA $1,870,000
    2003-04 Orlando Magic NBA $1,500,000
    2004-05 Houston Rockets NBA $1,600,000
    2005-06 Atlanta Hawks NBA $3,500,000
    2006-07 Atlanta Hawks NBA $3,500,000
    2007-08 Sacramento Kings NBA $3,500,000
    2008-09 Orlando Magic NBA $2,250,000

You can go ahead and adjust for inflation on your own...but wow the man got one of his nicest paydays mostly for just being in the right place at the right time haha. Lebron should be getting a nice thank you gift very soon
