It’s a tight race for the coveted last place this year. The Suns are currently the worst but the Mavs and Hawks are right behind them. Who will win it?

EDIT: the nets aren’t really in; they’re just a bad team.

I think the Suns win the Tank-off, and the draft order goes in any order:

    PHX #1
    ATL #2
    DAL #3

PHX goes with one of the Arizona boys in either Bagley or Ayton
ATL picks up Doncic and he with Collins found Lob City East.
DAL selects the leftover of Bagley or Ayton
SAC continues its quest to become a bootleg GSW and takes Young
ORL takes Porter Jr. and is trapped in the dungeons of Magic Kingdom until he is traded for a scrub

AFunkyDiabetic had a great video on this, and suggested ultimate tank lineups for instant losing.

PHX: Play Bender and Chriss, -16 on the season
DAL: DSJ takes 22 shots per game
    ATL: Unleash everyone under 24
    SAC: Bench Z-Bo
    MEM: Bench Gasol
CHI: Cameron Payne: NBA starting point guard
    BYK: play Jahlil 35 MPG
    NYK: Mudiay + Nilikina backcourt
    ORL: Bismack Byombo, offensive juggernaught

The idea of "credits" has been around (Morey mentioned it at least 3 years ago) and it's by far my favorite proposal.

It's basically just splitting your pick into parts. Cool, but that doesn't really address tanking ...

My favorite idea is a blind auction, where you get to bid for players/slots as if they were free agents. You can spend your allotted Rookie Scale amount (based on draft position) plus any money you have below the cap.

This is the only idea I've heard that combines rewarding bad records (via higher rookie scale money) with rewarding cap management teams.

probably spoils the idea when you learn this is my idea and not some media guy or Sloan conf idea.

Grizzlies will get a top pick like the Spurs did when Robinson was out

Oh god, the casual fan/math illiterate are going to lose it when they hear about that. Would teams trade it like a draft pick (e.g I'll give you 5% of my odds for 2021 if it's loterry) or would it only be good for that year? I feel like it be cool for teams to move up in the draft and for
