Got Bobby Brown on an NBA roster for 2+ years and now Gerald Green (who has only been here for like 2 months) a shoe deal, when he barely even plays.

Our MVP is the greatest teammate of all time and I won't hear otherwise.

    James Harden putting in work

First, he brings Gerald Green to Houston and now he gets him a shoe deal

    God Bless Jim

GG is very marketable imo, if only he lived up to his potential

What?? 6 figures for a bench guy? Is this common or standard? Great for him though, Harden getting everyone paid!!

Good for him. He's earned it. Still can't believe dude was sitting at home back in December with no NBA roster spot or a minor shoe deal like the one he just signed.

I heartily endorse this marginal evasion of the salary cap. Please do not subpoena Harden's texts.

    Haha

I'm going to forget you suggested that and believe Adidas saw all the great work Green was doing on the ground in Houston for Harvey victims that they not only valued him promotionally via backing a good story, but also outfitting Green with boxes upon boxes of shoes to "flood" the Houston streets with, while doing his volunteering.

Yeah, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Gerald isn't just your typical bench guy. He's all heart, reps Houston to the fullest, is very recognizable because of his hair/tattoos, was in the slam dunk contest, and by all accounts, is an awesome teammate and human being. While I don't think every bench guy can get himself a multi-year endorsement, I can definitely see why Gerald got one.

Oh yeah, plus Jimmy Harden vouched for him with the bosses at Adidas I'm sure.

Since we picked him up from unemployment, his life has gone in basically a straight upwards trajectory.
