Can't be new law. Either a supreme court case that interpret the 14th amendment differently than assumed/common interpretation, or changing the 14th amendment. Both are not at all likely. Better to address why people want to come here (through comprehensive immigration reform). And to address "legal" abuse of it, such as "birth tourism". I'm sure you can pass some law to not allow that (disallow entering the US as tourists to give birth for obtaining US/dual citizenship) - but since these are very rich folks, it's probably a don't care for most.
Looks like Democrats blew it by not accepting the deal when it was offered. Instead of looking out for the DACA people, they played politics and the DACA people they allegedly care about will pay for it.

Again, Trump shows that he doesn’t know much of anything. Daca doesn’t apply to any new migrants, even if they somehow enter illegally. So much willful ignorance. Those migrants marches toward the US aren’t that unusual. They will reach proper entry points and ask for legal entry. As an aside, for those so fearful of migrants asking for entry, wait until regions south of us get destabilized, as our military has feared, over climate change. How are we going to handle the exodus into the US?

Completely agree. We are America - a beacon of freedom to the world. But you look at the beacon but you can't get too close. No, you have to make your home free. Don't follow the beacon, be INSPIRED by it.
