I understand what your saying but along with the minutes reduction this year he also isn’t having to do everything with Paul here now. He will be fresher because of it

He would have played a few less minutes. But he scored 12 points at the end of the 1st quarter. Which is usually when he sits now, and Paul comes back in.

so far they held GSW to an avg of 110 ppg in 4 games (6 pts below their average)

while they held HOU to an avg of 127 ppg in 2 games (13 pts above their average)

    elite offense >>> solid defense

If he played the whole first quarter ... Then adjust and put him back in later . It's not rocket science .

You might think I'm nitpicking ... And to an extent I am . But we have so many other good option besides playing James heavy minutes .

It's not like James being hot is the only way for us to win the game . If this was a playoff game , sure leave him out there ... But it's the first night of a b2b in late February ... Getting a first quarter edge doesn't matter that much .

It's my fault. I just found out about nbastreams on reddit and NBA league pass has figured out how to kill the good quality streams. =(

The fatigue had to do with the series we were in. He had to dominate every possession to beat OKC and then he had a ton of long posessions in the 2nd rd because the Spurs took away the drive and the 3. Those games were all physical and he played crazy minutes because the offense fell apart without him.

35-36 minutes is fine. He'll be able to get rest in the playoffs with CP3.

i cant even say solid defense if were talking about denver. repeatedly fouling guys on the 3 pts line is just plain dumb iq. someone either doesnt pay attention to bulletin points on game day or theyre just not listening

You don't think 81 games at 36.5 minutes a game had anything to do with it ?

adjust what. you play a player thats just plain hot. thats common sense and what a good coach does. as a player you want to stay in the game when youre just scoring at will like that. yeah its absolutely nitpicking. youre complaining about somthing thats not even an issue in this game. thats what i hate about getting guys like green etc. all you exaggerated rest people think they should be playing at every instance.

but he doesn't have to make every play now. He can focus on scoring and let Paul make the plays
