How does that contradict anything I said? I said you'd be hiding behind a car with your little handgun or dead.

I would prefer a .45, but I'd take my chances with a 9mm if children were being shot rather than be a coward and remain outside....and I would certainly hope that anyone who would take a job like that would do the same and if they wouldn't, they should be immediately fired. I would also hope that anyone who took that job would be more proficient with their handgun than some random kid is with his AR. If that's not the case, we need to increase training for that job till it is the case.

A trained cop can't take out an untrained kid with a rifle? Can I ask what are your credentials on combat situations?

You do know that's not the only two options right? I think I'd have a fairly good shot at taking down a kid with an AR, I've had more training than that kid did and I wouldn't be acting out of emotion like that kid was. You act like a handgun is nothing....you do realize that a handgun is VERY much a lethal weapon right? Having an AR isn't some kind of cheat code, hell the deadliest school shooting in US history used handguns and not an AR.

Let's give @tallanvor and @Bobbythegreat two handguns and let them take down the next mass shooter with AR 15s. One caveat, no bump stocks allowed on the AR 15 because that's cheating.

LOL, cheating? By all means, given them bump stocks, it'll make it easier to take them out.

You seem to know nothing at all about guns.....and that's just so stereotypical for someone taking the position you are on this.

Anyone with a bumpstock is gonna lose in a shootout. Your accuracy is terrible when you use one.

Aww, I poked holes in the stupidity you were babbling on about and you revert to this? LOL, I do enjoy laughing at people like you.

That is mental gymnastic if not dishonesty. You probably got the quote from a 2013 source, but it was BASED on his 10 yr "before and during" studies concluded in 1994. Quoting him later from that 1994 report does not change its import.

Thus his updated quote in a symposium dated 2014 specifically implying a moderately DIFFERENT analysis of his 1994 study and corroborated by another study that used a 10 yr "before, during and after" data is quite significant and should debunk those cherry picking the 1994 report.

Not just that, you waste an entire magazine worth of ammunition in seconds forcing you to reload during which you are defenseless. 3 seconds worth of inaccurate fire, then reload. Rinse, repeat. There's a reason why the military did away with full auto when they upgraded from the M16A1

No, it was a speech he gave in 2013 at Johns Hopkins University, January 14th I believe. You should fact check better if you are going to try to call someone out.

A single cop in Texas took out two jackasses that were using rifles with 100 round drum mags and body armor. The cop had a Glock 21.

You use whatever you have when under fire. Better to have a rifle but a pistol is better than nothing.

Bump stock isn't going to be effective against accurate fire but it's deadly on a unsuspecting bunched up crowd....

    Like in a concert.

Though I do find the ban of the bump stock kinda pointless as it is easy to do what the bump stock does by holding and fireing the rifle in a certain way. I've bump fired before and it isn't that difficult.

You're a keyboard warrior badass from the safety of your computer. Thinking you're Jason Bourne taking out mass shooters with AR 15s with your 9mm or .45 lmao

You seriously think it would take "Jason Bourne" to shoot someone with a 9mm or .45? LOL, you know that them holding that AR doesn't make them bullet proof right? The bullet proof upgrade to the AR-15 only comes with a bump stock and a tripod.

Yep, useful for spray and pray but not for accuracy. It's for fun at the range, but maybe we should ban bump stocks since the wielder has no ability to control his aim. Too much collateral damage or only use for firing into a crowd, which makes it pointless and a liability to be legal.

As for the alternative, are you talking about the Time Crisis grip? ;)

Lets hope the next mass shooting happens in your vicinity because you're the right person for the job. Unfortunately the majority of Americans and teachers are not as well skilled as you. I hope you can become a real life hero one day. :D

You really need to demystify guns kiddo, there's LOTS of people out there who know how to properly handle them. It's not really all that special.

Are you back to accusing me of thinking that arming teachers is a good idea? Didn't we go over this several times before? You honestly should just quit digging your hole deeper, it's getting embarrassing.

Holy **** we have people defending armed cops from going into a school where children are being slaughtered? Unfreakin believable! Nothing surprises me in the D&D by now though.

I think it's someone who plays too many video games that doesn't realize that someone carrying an AR isn't bullet proof. He also thought that a bump stock would be "cheating" in a gunfight......so.....yeah.
