This is the best Rockets team in franchise history. No disrespect to Dream, but Harden/CP have a much better supporting cast. Good time to be a fan.

 

i dont think championships are criteria of quality...a lot of luck is involved in winning the chip

Anyone who thinks this team (or any current team) wouldn't absolutely smash teams from previous eras needs a dose of reality!

Its not a fair topic to even discuss, cause at the time they were the best. But its not even close. This team would beat Hakeem's Rockets. Hakeem is the only player on that team that would still be good today. In fact, Hakeem is one of the only dominant players from past eras that would still dominate today, mainly cause, had he needed to, he could've been a 3pt shooter. And his post game transcends eras. The rest of that team wouldn't get much PT in todays era. And thats even more true for other teams from past eras. Our championship teams are the only teams played similarly to what we see today.

But I always have and always will say, sports are constantly improving. Every sport is currently being played better than it ever has. Thats just how life works. Accept it, or you end up like tinman looking like a dumbass.

I disagree with that - you have to account for who you go up against, and if we go up against a healthy GSW team with KD, Curry, Draymond, and Klay, that would be arguably tougher than any team Dream had to go up against.

That being said, I do agree that a championship will end up being the only mark by which this team is judged.

 

This I can agree with.

Historic seasons are great but championships are the greatest.

 

You have to at least make the finals to even be half ass remembered nationally and only by staunch fans of the sport. People remember champions.
