Honestly we have got used to his greatness but wow that list just reaffirms how good this guy truly is for those of us becoming complacent to his greatness!
Jeez, how soon we forget the greatness of Steve Nash. I hear people knock him all the time for those MVPs, and it makes me feel like I am taking crazy pills. He absolutely deserved those awards.
anyone noticing Harden's defense throughout the season..?? not only that but no one is actually mentioning his defense or being even talked about
she’s the same fool who said during the summer that adding CP3 to our roster might not even make us better this year she’s so clueless
He isn't better individually, but he is a better team leader, he is a version of Chris Paul and Harden combined but in a leadership sense not in terms of whole talent package. He can't do everything but he knows Stat can do this, Joe Johnson can do that, Marion and Quentin can do the other things, and he can set them up perfectly. If he and some of the team had CP3's defense, he would have won it all. If they implemented the deep 3s from 28, 30 feet, they would have launched even more 3s at that time.
I might have missed this some place else... but nice to know GAME RECOGNIZE GAME http://rocketswire.usatoday.com/201...ts-james-harden-mvp-chants-san-antonio-spurs/
it wasn't Spurs fans, it was Rockets fans that made the drive. I know quite a bit of people who when to this game.
-Harden lost the MVP in 2015 to Curry because he didn't have the best team. -Harden lost the MVP in 2017 to Westbrook because he didn't have the best stats 2018- Fine I'll have the best stats AND the best team
Not saying Nash didn't deserve the awards just for his part as a pioneer of lifting the NBA out of the early 00's drudgery with the Pringles Suns, but in absolute terms across eras...he can't touch present vintage Harden.
Only thing preventing Harden from winning it now is health. Or should be. I have already seen some talking heads throw some what if scenarios for Lebron's 5th this morning. It truly is disgusting anyone could actually forget about a stretch of play where a player(Lebron) had the worst +/- in the league for a quarter of the season and award them the MVP of the SEASON! Whew. This is the year for James. If him and Chris can get a ring this year, Harden has a shot at being considered the second best of the era behind Lebron.
Hot takers will talk LeBron this morning. They always talk about what is recent. But as long as Harden continues his play and the team continues to win I think that puts him in a good situation for the award. I don't think many of the voters will forget the Cavs/Lebron's low point this season. Keep in mind also with the MVP discussion. To make it a "discussion worth talking about" there has to be more than 1 person to debate. So people get brought in just for the sake of discussion. Doesn't mean they are at the same level as Jimmy. ;-)
