I think everyone here should begin to accept the fact that Gerald Green is very likely to see minimal if not zero playing time in the playoffs. Rockets have Mbah a Moute, Ariza, and Tucker that rotate around in his position. Its just a fact that teams always shorten their bench in the playoffs.

And when has this happened...serious question? Even when they won it last year, it was mostly KD being consistently Uber efficient and Steph and Klay just hitting dagger timely 3s. I don’t see all of them click very often if at all, let alone an entire series.

Oh and the Rockets have enough weapons to match and beat the Warriors.

The main edge I give the Warriors this year is their championship pedigree. But they can definitely be beaten and the Rockets are darn well equipped to do it.

Yeah probably and that’s a travesty. Green is a piece that would really help in the postseason.

I think teams like us and okc have had success against them because we just switch every screen they do now. Both teams have the players to do that.

Having curry or klay shoot that three off a screen with a defender right there in their face just throws them off compared to yrs past when Guys tried to fight through the “illegal” screens and they would have wide open looks.

Klay can’t dribble he’s really an overrated player. Great 3&d guy but he doesn’t do anything else. Curry teams are just putting physical pressure on him on both sides. He’s still producing but it def wears him down later in the Games.

They were smart getting KD had they not houston would be ahead of them by now. Harden cp3 is a lot better combo than curry klay.

Our roster is better than theirs. They just have that cupcake Durant who just takes them to another level.

I don’t even know if this rockets team really needs Lebron anymore.

Resign Capela and luc keep Ariza for cheap and maybe try and flip Anderson into a more Useful player.

Imagine how much better we would be if we had mirotic instead of Ryno?stuff like that is more realistic than gutting the whole team for LBJ.

Today I have been thinking about our role players or mainly our bench vs the warriors bench or role players.

Don't we really have the edge in the department..? I know they have 4 all star players but outside of young they have no one else...!!!

cmon fins all star is just a publicity thing and public opinion, if we are for real cp3 should of been an all star instead of klay..capela could of been an allstar in the east

so its 3 vs 2 allstars if not 3 vs 3 and our support guys are miles better than them

so they have multiple harden's now? curry durant klay and dray are on the same level as harden?... Harden is ONE...and he is better than anything they have... its just that you used to see him playing alone without help unlike curry and durant who always had multiple allstars help and thus they were looking as being on the same level... i would go even so far that cp3 is better than anything they have ( he was the best player on the floor in that last game MVP) so we have at least 1 if not 2 of two best players in the series

The bench shortens but every series is different. I will point out that someone's guys you never thought would see the light of day end up getting minutes.

My favorite example is when Carl Jones was used to defend Shaq. How many people ever heard of Carl Jones?

In certain situations Greene may get PT.

being an all star doesnt mean you are a better player then non all star...cp3 is easily better than 50% of all stars this year... in what world klay is an allstar and cp3 is not? only in bspn world

also draymond green is an all star and its debatable if he is even a better player than capela

cp3 is capable of being finals mvp because he has basketball figured out and hes never had this much help in his career, hes tough hes clutch his defense is unbelievable

i m telling y'all warriors better get Adam Silver A game ready for the playoffs because we are comin!

Um, let's not get cocky. I hope (my god I hope) that it clicks for James this year deep into the playoffs but until it does, I will be concerned. See SA last year, GSW WCF, etc. I just think if he could just have a big moment or two at a critical time, the whole narrative changes.

Well said. You echoed my sentiments exactly. I don’t think it’s being too “homerish” to believe this season’s Rockets is just flat out a better team than the Warriors.

When I watch CP3 and Harden alternate pg duties especially towards end of games, you can just feel the “relief” the both of them feel having the other to share the load and pressure with.

Adding CP3, Luc and PJ put the Rockets over the proverbial hump. This roster is set to win it all......ala ‘17 Astros

Man I wish I had “like” capabilities. I love this post brother.

I was also gonna respond to the “they have multiple hardens and CP3” comment. The Warriors don’t even have ONE of Harden or CP3. our 2 hall of famers are the best of the best. It’s beyond lethal because their different styles of play compliment each other beautifully.

Also, in my opinion Curry and MAYBE Durant are the only 2 guys on the Warriors with Transcending talent. I’ll take Harden and CP3 every time on paper or on the court.

The Rockets built their own super team. One that did not garner much media hype. One that people even criticized, claimed Beverly was a better fit next to Harden over Paul.

I think Warriors are in disbelief, they are the chosen poster team for the NBA. They have 2 former MVP’s in their prime, field 4 current all star on their team. Get all the desperate free agents pursuing a ring in the cheap. I think even they think the Rockets are a flash in the pan type team, give you a good show but roll over and move out of their way.

But what isn’t a flash in the pan is the Rockets Record when Harden, Paul, and Capela play together. They have only lost Against the Pelicans, and the Rockets had a massive comeback and almost won that game too.

    Rockets team looks special.

Why are the Warriors asking unsolicited questions about the Rockets?

I thought the Warriors wanted to secretly smash the Rockets (pause.)
I thought the Warriors think more about Canadian bacon and pancakes more than the Rockets.
Kerr isn't worried about the Rockets, but he deletes sub-tweets about Harden step backs.

    Keep it funky Golden State.

Rockets are obsessed with beating the Warriors and don't care who knows it.

I tend to agree. The Warriors best also includes a LOT of turnovers.

The Rockets best includes minimal turnovers with similar shooting as the Warriors.

The Rockets are criminally underrated currently. Warriors have issues defensively and little depth.

Rockets have good defense with great depth and almost equal star power.

    Game on.
