They better quietly think that. If they openly think it, they will get ridiculed.

It blows my mind that we actually have a better point differential right now than the Warriors (Raptors do, too).

Let's not fool ourselves...they are better than they've played so far. GSW will be the favorites with or without homecourt.

If both teams play their A game, GSW probably wins...they are that good. That's not to say we can't win, but it's going to take grit, hot shooting, locked in defense and some luck.

Our A game has an obscene amount of made 3s though. I think their A game is more reliable and more consistent but our A game is absolutely better. That's why daryl morey is talking about when he says we needed to up our risk profile and increase the variance we played with

If they did think this, I really don't think they think it anymore.

I think of A game as our best vs their best, because ultimately that's what wins championships. If Durant, Steph, Draymond and Klay are clicking, they are almost impossible to beat. No one has the talent to keep up with that.

That's the thing about the playoffs. You have to come up with 4 wins...good, bad or ugly against 1 team in a matter of less than 2 weeks. The best we have done is 4-1 twice against them in the playoffs.
Take #3 hopefully this year is better.

This year, we play better defense and we have CP3. That did help us go 2-1 against them in the regular season. Maybe it will be good enough for 4-2 or 4-3.

Harden's, Capela's and CP3's A games are better than anything worriers might come up with, worriers best chance is Adam Silver and zebras

Let's not get too crazy here. Durant is probably the best player in the league (I love Harden). Draymond is the reigning DPOY. Steph is probably the best shooter of all time. Klay has a "nuclear" button.

I am NOT saying that Harden isn't the MVP or that CP3 isn't among the best PGs of all time. But on paper...they are better. Luckily, games aren't played on paper.

Thats my point though. Our best is better than their best. Their best is just more likely to occur than our best.

Thats the point of our high variance style of play.

That's not moving the goal post. They have 4 all stars, 2 MVPs and the reigning DPOY...all in the prime of their careers. They simply have more Hardens and CP3s than we do. And no, the best from our secondary guys doesn't line up with the best of their top guys.

If you want to make an argument that our bench is better, that's fine and I would probably agree...but that's generally not what decides a series.

These guys couldn't even sweep us in the playoffs when they were sweeping us in the regular season. Hell, they couldn't do it during the Season from Hell when HarGod defied them (and Dwight). Now we won the season series and if they thought it was hell to put our guys away before, they have no idea what in it's store for them now, because our guys are coming for that trophy this year.

I would say that applies to the Warriors against the Rockets as well.

Seriously I believe this year’s Rockets are extremely formidable. If they can remain healthy through the playoffs, I really like their chances against the Warriors.

Warriors believe it or not just don’t intimidate me this season with the roster the Rockets have. Just watching the Warriors play this season (win or lose), they just don’t look that great. It’s as if the league has somewhat adjusted and caught up to them (finally).

Rockets are very good and I’m proud to be their fan.

Agreed. Rockets ‘A’ game would entail:

    1) Ryno hitting 4-6 threes
    2) EGO being Ego
    3) Harden being Harden
    4) CP3 being CP3
    5) Luc and PJ and Ariza playing solid D and hitting some 3s
    6) oh and Gerald Green

    The Warriors?

    1) Steph can hit 5-6 threes and the Rockets can weather that as evidenced in their matchups this season

    2) KD will be KD

    3) Klay would hit 5-6 threes...and this would be a problem (but the Rockets have the defensive personnel to make it tough for him)

    4) Draymond would hit some timely 3s......these suck.

Bottom line, Rockets have more weapons on both sides of the ball to outplay the Warriors

Considering the Raptors do as well should not necessarily blow your mind. I think there's something legitimate about their claims of fatigue. The Warriors have been a much much better squad over the past 3 years than they are playing like currently. We'll have to wait and see what they do closer to the postseason to determine how close the Rockets are to them. One thing I know is that the Rockets cannot overexert themselves in order to get the 1 seed. If they have to over exert themselves to the point of being worn out before the playoffs, then its not worth it.
