    I saw it, too.

I'm just responding with facts, lol

He's increasingly playing PF, but is CLEARLY more SF than PF still.

Also, he had some REALLY good playoff games, but on the whole was bad, not good, in the playoffs. You just remember how good he was, because it was unexpected and they were REALLY good.

Also, bear in mind, that playoff performance was in line with his regular season performance. His regular season performance this year is not nearly as good. Could be because of Utah, could be because of JJ aging.

All that said, this is a buyout candidate, not a guy anticipated to make huge impact.

Personally, I much prefer to add to the roster with guys who fit around the ballhandlers we already have and fit more of needs... eg. rebounding and defense.

If we have to rely on JJ in any way in the playoffs to be a meaningful 'Iso Joe' type creator... than things aren't going to plan.

Poor Gerald gonna cut get from the rotation again.

Do we even want Joe Johnson? I'm fine without him. I'm fine with the guys we got.

Which one would be best fit for Rockets? Vince Carter or JJ?

I think Joe Johnson will thrive with us (I know hes older, but he can ball) and already been in coaches System (always a good thing to get veterans on the team)

Johnson only because he might be able to get time at PF. Well that and at this point in time he seems to be more reliable.

I think JJ will be taking mins from Ryan and PJ. Green will have rotation issues once Trev gets back from injury tho

If we can't get Bogut or another big man, I'd gladly take Joe. He's insurance in case another injury hits Ariza, Luc, Ryno, or EG.

Wrong position we are full on the perimeter wing, and he will not help us as a weak stretch 4, this is definitely a head scratcher..?

i think this is a good pick up. In the play offs, the tempo slows down. Even GSW admit to this which is why they fear OKC.
ISO Joe to Houston would be good. and if we can , we should nab bogut

At the very least, adding Joe Johnson will hopefully alleviate some of the minutes that Harden, Paul, and Ariza have to play. At the beginning of the year, we were having to play some combination of the three since our mop up lineup couldn't be trusted to maintain a 20 plus point lead in the 4th quarter. But yes, at this point, I would play Gerald Green before Joe Johnson on the depth chart.

Ryan Anderson can backup the 5 to open up more playing time...

I don't think I would mind us playing him as our backup point forward with the second (semi-third unit) to make plays off the low block ala Harden and help bring the ball up the court.

Lord knows he's more of a threat anywhere on the court than Briante Weber was. Once Eric Gordon returns it could be tougher finding him consistent minutes, but I'm sure he'll be good with the Nene treatment till the playoffs.

This ain’t the best signing but I like it simply because JJ can handle the ball and playmake also and you need as many of these guys as you can get.....

In an age of positionless basketball it’s good to have another guy who can play atleast 3 positions.....

    He’ll be fine here.....

He's actually extremely valuable as an 8th - 11th man. You need people that can create and shoot to compete against the Warriors. I don't care that the guy is old, we aren't bringing him here to be a 6th man, we are bringing him here in case one of our other guys goes down and we have someone with experience that can get in there and give us some valuable minutes. Honestly, I didn't see anyone of value signing with the Rockets, but Joe coming here would be freaking great.

For about 3-5mins could run teams raggedy before they would eventually be overtaken on the boards....
