Rockets needs 48 minutes of quality Center play just like they get out of the PG posiiton to be most effective since they always have Paul on the court when Harden is not.

Playing Chris Paul with Nene should be a crime. How dare the NBA waste Chris Paul in a Clippers uniform and then playing with Nene.

This is arguably the best PG of all time . . . and he needs someone to pass to.

That's how this team is going to be most effective.

P.S. No offense Nene if you read my posts!

Capella / Nene is a top notch center rotation.

Due to the constraints of the CBA, you simply can't have all stars at every position.

I agree, I like Nene in certain spots, but I think even he would agree he has slowed waaay down and can only play in spurts and certain matchups. We need a C to replace Black. He just hasn't worked out like we had hoped. A more active C to play behind Clint would be great. Doesn't need to be a star, just long and athletic to rim run and bother shots in the paint.

Agreed. NeNe has lost a step or two. This should be our main objective in the deadline or buyout. Also PointGod insurance

you guys about the backup center are being too picky. nene will be ready for the po's. tillthen, when he's out for w/e reason, we have enough production from the backup 5 spot.

Nene has been playing pretty well lately.
I'm more concerned with his health than level of play.

It’s not being picky. Nene is garbage defensively.

Rockets need a legit 7 footer that can rim protect and block shots.

he's not known for his shot blocking. a backup center who can block shots well is a big luxury in addition to a starting center who can do better

So what good is a Center if he can’t play defense? A Center’s main priority should be defense and rebounding.

    Nene should not be playing.

why shouldn't nene be playing. when he does hes effective and understands what he needs to do. the only thing you can really question is maintaining his health.

Nerlens might be a luxury we can't afford.

You’re focusing on his offense. He’s a decent pick n roll big but harden makes everyone look good.

What they need is a defensive big that can block shots, which nene cannot do.

for a backup center that plays in limited minutes, someone who can just block shots isn't much of a priority. now if he has trouble consistently holding his own ground and getting rebounds then yeah id say theres a problem. but as is hes plenty effective when he plays.

tucker and ryno each see limited time at the 5 and neither are shot blockers. oh and the notion that harden can make any pick and roll big look good is false. If that were true black wouldn't look as bad as he does. Many people dont realize the timing and iq required to be a consistent threat as a pick and roll player. that goes for both positions

Are you serious? Ryno is even worse defensively and Tucker is like 6’5.

Look at the cavs with Kevin Love and crowder as their bigs. They give up layup after layup, they offer zero rim protection.

Why do you think they’re trying to trade for Deandre Jordan?

I guess you don’t care about defense.

And I’m not talking about “just shot blocking”. I’m talking about defense as a whole.
