We haven't seen him creating that much. Maybe it's the system. Maybe it's his ability. Maybe both. But how do you know if he has never been playing that kind of game his whole NBA career? I tend to believe that his creating ability is limited or else GS would have been using him more in that role. Heck, they use Draymond Green, a big man without a consistent jumper, to create more than they use Klay. That should tell you something. There are plenty of guys who have a great jumper but can't create for themselves.
theres no underrating here. hes never been that type of player his entire career and even til now. theres a reason why you dont rely on it bc at this point thats just not who he is.And any smart team would know thats not how to maximize klays strengths and contributions over the course of a full year and on a nightly basis, klay is not good enough to maintain the versatility of a kawhi and translate that to winning basketball
@Easy you make sense but think about it, why would they have Klay who is possibly as good if not a better shooter than steph passing the ball? They are the two best shooters in the league so why would they use them any other way? Draymond is a great passer and not as good a shooter so why would they set him to shoot rather than pass?
Curry is a better shooter. Klay is having a hot season so far. But career-wise, Curry is better, not by much but still better. Yet, Curry is also playing the role of creating while Klay is in the role of catch and shoot. If Klay was a good creator, wouldn't it make sense to have Klay create for Curry at least some of the times?
klay's a better two-way player than harden, and harden is considered a (psuedo) superstar so yes, klay thompson is a superstar im being serious guys /srs
If he wasn't on the Warriors he'd be one of those "best players to never make an all-star team" type players. He might get added on as an injury replacement if he played in the East. Is Goran Dragic a superstar?
Have you seen Klay try to create his own shot or create shots for others? He sucks at it. My definition of superstar is a player that can take a team full of role players and get them into the playoffs. There’s very few players that can do that (hence a superstar). Klay Thompson isn’t one of them. Is Klay an all star? Maybe. He’s probably the best catch and shoot 3 point specialist in the league besides Curry. But if CP3 isn’t an all star then neither is Klay. Also, his defense is nothing special. That’s my take on it anyway.
yea like that. But I would put Kemba and Drummond who were the other candidates for injury replacement over Klay.
