If you're the Clippers, would you prefer Adams and whatever else OKC could offer or Thompson, JR and the BKN pick from Cleveland? For a rebuilding team the latter seems like a no-brainer.

I know this off trend but does anyone know what's up with Kenneth faried. I would live him on the rockets. He seems to have fallen out the nuggets rotation.

Nobody is saying they are gonna be better than Houston lol.

But I think it makes more sense for them to do the trade because it makes them better. OKC is in win now mode if they want to convince George and Melo to stay.

Why would Cleveland give up their pick? Lebron is threatening to leave the team you think they will trade their pick for an expiring vet?

Why? Well for starters this could possibly be the last chance they'll have to compete for a title for YEARS

So what? They are just competing to lose to GSW/Rockets in the finals.

And then LBJ leaves and then Jordan whom they traded a pick for also leaves because he is an expiring. Thats just dumb.

The Cavs are keeping the pick because they want to see what happens with Lebron. Since the Lakers are too young and the Rox dont have capspace maybe Lebron resigns with them and requests that they sign Cp3 instead. The Cavs can then trade the pick to shed salary, or in the event Lebron really leaves they can use the pick themselves.

Steven Adams -- The first round pick in the Harden trade -- will someday end up in Houston. Only then will Morey have completed his masterpiece.

    Yes do it.

I would be so happy if Adams played for another team. He is the one guy that scares me of the Thunder. I think he would thrive in another team. Furthermore I want to be able to be happy when he plays well.

It would be very funny to see Jordan and Williams play along Westbrook. Jordan will not let Westbrook rebound for him (since he is playing for a contract), and their defense will be hilariously bad.

Well they did have an opportunity to sign Lowry straight up as a FA (I think he got annoyed with Houston making him wait on Lebron's decision) and I believe that was how they obtained the pick.

Now this is a WOW rumor. And really, I can see the sense here. It is a "all in" or "clear the deck" move.
Adams is the better player overall, but the aggregate of Jordan+Williams and the ability to PIVOT away from them if need be is interesting.

    Very, very interesting.

Eh, Jordan is more of a space-eater than even Adams. At least Adams has SOME game outside of the cylinder. Those little hook shots and put-backs go a long way when your team has sticky fingers with the ball.

That may be so, but in terms of lobs, if DJ goes there will be lobs. You don't sign Kyle Korver for layups. You don't trade for DJ without throwing lobs.

I hope this works out for them the way Rondo worked out for the Mavs.
