Maybe, but the way I see it, we have a better chance at Lebron than we do at PG. But anyways, other than Lebron or PG, what other meaningful options are out there this summer? If Bron is a no, then it’s basically PG or bust. It’s not like we’re swimming in options for upgrades to catch the Warriors.

I think the best moves are to upgrade bench behind our rotation guys and dump white Ryno.. get guys like a West, Speights Joe Johnson...not more stars in my opinion..

Ryno would actually be a great fit for them. Ryno is a shooter so that means he automatically creates space for Mitchell and Gobert while combining with Hood to give Rubio another shooter to pass to since he can't shoot.

You realize that you could literally say the EXACT same thing of a Harden, CP3, LeBron trio?? How does anything that you've seen convince you that he's going to LA?? The reasons that you have for why he would go to the Lakers are the EXACT same reasons he would have to come here, except we already HAVE 2 of the pieces here, and we've shown that they work together marvelously. I get that people want to keep their expectations down, but this is ****ing insane.

Why would West leave the Warriors?? And you really think an over-the-hill Joe Johnson and a slow-footed Mareese Speights is enough to take out the greatest team ever assembled?? Jesus Christ.

agree. at this point it really just comes down to those two imo, as far as realistically getting difference makers that up the level of this team. personally I prefer pg13 as he seems like a more ideal fit, especially with his age. but yeah its lebron, if hes willing to come here and try to make it work you try and get him.

He wants to win. My guess is that LBJ/CP/Morey would be aligned in the team building. This is a stars friendly management.

N for the people who keep talking bout it's rings for lbj now. I think y'all ain't looking far enough. All rings aren't created equal. Winning in l.a. is more then winning in Cleveland or hpuston. If he brings another chip to l.a. after they haven't done **** in a while. He will be a hero. It's freaking Hollywood people this will set him up after basketball, even more so then he already is. I'm a die hard rockets fan but I don't look at things through a rockets colored glasses. Alot of things could happen in l.a. hell even San Antonio. Add cp3 n lbj there n u a contender

That won't make us better overall though, you're talking about adding three guys with this age respectively (37/36,30), and they're not better than our current bench players.

I'm the last fan of Anderson around here, and i agree he should be traded, but if you trade him and add those third stringers you won't make this team better.

Alignment.....sounds just like Bill Obrian and Brian Gaine

I'm all for LBJ here, 100%. Don't get me wrong, it would be phenomenal. But I don't want him LBJ to run the origanization, that's all. This is Hardens team, he may have input on Morey's decisions, but doesn't act entitled like LBJ to force hands like he does in Cleveland

that’s not enough to take down GS...I can’t see us truly catching up to GS unless we get either Bron or PG this summer

we’re really not in a position to say no to somebody like Lebron if we’re trying to win chips in this GS era

See my comment below. Cause it's the Lakers a storied franchise you had an narrative to restore the great Lakers back to what they were. People grew up wanting to be on the Lakers Yankees cowboys. U don't see it would mean more.

I repeat I'm not the negative type but people think it's forgone like why wouldn't he go to the rockets it's the best situation to win. But I'm saying it's not that hard to create at situation just as advantageous as Rockets

I've been saying that we need to trade Ryan for Joe Johnson and Favors with picks, Zhou, and Hartenstein going to Utah as sweeteners. Utah could actually use Ryan while it would clear cap space for us. Plus Johnson would be great insurance this year while Favors would be a better option than Tarik Black.

Dude, you are seriously over-thinking this:
    1) He's already set up after basketball. He's ****ing LeBron James. He's got Maverick Carter and World Wide Wes on his payroll. He can be in movies, music videos, real estate, stocks, whatever he wants.
    2) Winning in Cleveland and Houston is EXACTLY like winning in LA, except here he won't be compared to Kobe every 15 seconds.
    3) CP3 would rather retire than step foot in Staples Center again as a member of an LA squad
    4) San Antonio has no ****ing chance to land these guys. They're in a really tough spot with Kawhi, and I doubt a 34 year old LeBron and a 33 year old CP3 want to put up with that.
    5) Outside of LeBron, there is nobody else on this Earth as obsessed with taking out Golden State as the Rockets. He would plug right in with a team full of like-minded individuals.....one of whom happens to be his best friend.

Please, just stop with the nonsense.

I see we're you're coming from... chemistry is a HUGE portion of the equation that lots of teams don't take into account (2004 Lakers super team = prime example) but these are two guys that have literally a brotherly love for each other plus a super down to Earth guy that really gets along with almost all the other stars that you can think of.

I also wouldn't be too worried about getting those type of vets in your example, in fact, I'm betting they'd be more likely to line up for a chance at a ring the way Ray, Rashard, and Shane did for Miami with Lebron.

The last thing is that we NEED that fourth playmaker that Golden State already has (Curry, Durant, Draymond, Livingston/Igoudala). We could counter that with Harden, Paul, James, and Gordon... that's a pretty formidable counter for their star heavy attack and that's not even including Klay's sharpshooting prowess.

In other words, I feel like most of us that want LeBron feel like we need that ability to matchup both offensively and defensively against their starting 4 plus the other dudes.

CP3, Bron, and PG<CP3, Bron, and Harden

    Rockets’ coaching staff>>Lakers’ coaching staff

    Rockets’ FO>>>Lakers’ FO

Rockets are the 2nd best team in the NBA without Lebron, the Lakers are at the bottom of the West

CP3 is already putting in work behind the scenes to get Bron to Houston, not to go and try to save the Lakers...believe that

What I’m saying is players like that. Not black and Williams. Players that have actually done something..

I should have included players like those players that have accomplished something in the NBA vs scrubs like black and Williams...

Are you talking about for the rest of this season, or in free agency? Because if it's the rest of this season, then I'm with you 100%. Joe Johnson would be a phenomenal pick-up as a buy-out. But in free agency, if that's all we're looking at, then we're clearly giving up in the chase to beating Golden State. That team is stacked on another level, and right now, as great as we've looked against them, I don't think we could beat them 4 times out of 7. However, add LeBron to this team (and don't worry about veteran depth.....that will come in waves), and all of a sudden, I think we'd have to be a slight favorite over them.
