You make a good point. I just think you're missing the point about his ridiculous salary and the cap.

I mean, you have the salary laid out for bunch of players in your sig, Ryno is making more than everyone on that list except KD and Golbert. This is a huge problem, no matter how well Ryno is playing. He's not going to turn into a superstar in front of our eyes. He's not worth that money, and I bet he's never going to be skilled enough to earn that much.

It’s funny watching you attack Ryan harder than you defend harden. Lol

Anyways to your point. It’s not about a certain amount of pts, percentages or rebounds.

To me it’s not even about playing to his “peak” but rather get out of his head and play at his normal level.

But more to the point of answering your question, I would like to see him play how he did at the beginning of the year for the first month or so.

I don’t have the numbers in front of me, but I can safely assume from memory he was shooting around 7-8 3s a game. More so than anything, this is what I want from him. To shoot MORE. Home or away idgaf.

Law of averages gives me confidence he will be around 38-42% which is awesome.

At that volume and that % he is a very good player. Especially with the effort defensively he was playing with.

Last year he shot 7 3s a game at 40% with 4.6 rebounds.

This year he has shot 5.6 3s a game at 37% with 5.4 rebounds.

He’s rebounding more, which suggests a higher level of “effort” he just doesn’t shoot as much.

Shoot more. Idc about his points per game or percentage.

In the 1-4 pnr you described, zaza will hedge off every time and force Anderson to take the shot. They won't change up anything unless Anderson got hot, which is about 1 of every 4 games. Then when they switch it up Anderson has no job to do. He's benched.

That list isn’t from a game in the fantasy forum lol...

I know very well about his cap hit and salary.

I agree he is way overpaid.

But making that money is not hurting us on the court “right now”. Whether he made the minimum or 20m it doesn’t effect the product on the court.

It hurts our ability to improve going forward. Absolutely. And that needs and will be addressed.

But we are trying to be the best we can be as a team because we want a ship.

Moving Ryan for less players and better cap hits doesn’t make us better. It makes us worse with flexibility.

Flexibility isn’t dressing up “this year”.

If he hedges, and Ryan is open, he will shoot.

Unless zaza all of a sudden gets athletic and can close out fast and hard after a hedge he will get burned.

1 our of 4 games is accurate lately. But that has more to do with his confidence to shoot and players closing out hard and him being hesitant.

Zaza is not closing hard. Sorry

asking for someone's peak to be quantified is "attacking now"

its funny how you see those as the same

morey extended harden to a supermax contract. teams will lineup for Harden. MVP.
and he already tried trading and continue to trade Ryno numerous times. no one wants Ryno.

apples to dirt. come on you know better than that..

    thats all I'm asking.

so we agree that he has to shoot more at a decent percentage to realize his potential

Personally, I don't care too much if he misses. I do care a lot when he passes up shots he is supposed to take though. If a 6'3 or 6'4 PG is trying to close out on him, I absolutely expect him to shoot the damn ball instead of passing it. That's what has been most disappointing about him this season.

You don’t always have to be defensive.

When I said attack ryan I literally meant all your posts recently and all the data and research you keep flooding to attack Ryan the player as a detriment to the team.

Not because you asked about his peak.

Don’t be so dense my man, your more intelligent than that.

Ryan’s peak, imo, would be about 8-10 3s at 42% along with 7rebounds. That would likely pt him around 15-18ppg.

I’m not unrealistic enough to expect his peak. I just want him to be more consistent and more involved shooting.

But i understand that his variance dictates that his peak is “possible” for that to happen 1 game out of a 7 game series.

Likely? I wouldn’t bet on it but that possibility is present within him. And he could easily sway and help us “steal” a game from gsw just by getting hot.

That is incredibly important because no matter how great we have been we are still David fighting Goliath. We still need trick plays and Hail Marys most likely to pull the upset.

Yes, it all comes down to harden, cp3 and defense.

But those x-factors in ego and Ryan getting hot could help us win a game we might not otherwise would have.

soooooooooooo what are you suggesting here?

Because I can shoot 2 threes a game and if i hit 1 of them all the time my stats would be misleading as well.

Didn't say zaza weighs close hard. He's gonna give Anderson the look and force Anderson to beat them. Will Anderson? Absolutely not. It's a loser.

Anderson needs to be traded if we can possibly move him. Maybe Cleveland takes him for Tristan after they trade Love for DJ.

If they leave Ryan Anderson open he is going to make three pointers that are going to hurt GSW, absolutely.

There is no way that Steve Kerr of all people is leaving Ryan freaking Anderson open like that. More likely they will rotate an extra guy and force Ariza, Moute and Tucker shoot, which is what they were doing most recently, If you bothered to watch.

False. They will leave guys open, but not Ryan Anderson or Eric Gordon. You can count on that.

Sure they will. They'll push him out just a little higher than he's comfortable with and let him fire long balls and clank them.
