Not a fan of Evans, but he played really well this season. With that said, even though would still be good to add talent, i don't really see the minutes for him here, i think we need talent in other spots. I also don't think they'll get a 1st rounder for him unless a team in the playoff race is going to get hit by a major injury and gets desperate.
Jaymicheal Green, Ben Mclemore, and Tyreke Evans For Ryan Anderson + 2021 Lotto protected first rounder
All these teams demanding a first rounder right now but as soon as the deadline nears they will either cave or just keep the player
Could do Brandan Wright instead of McLemore (and include Williams/Onuaku if MEM is interested) and it works under the cap
That pick doesn't even get rid of Anderson's disastrous contract, let alone get quality players back.
anyone who can shoot, pass, and handle the ball is a good fit for us. i don't think we can meet the price tag though.
I would rather us just call up RJ , Markel , and Troy ... And let them hustle and compete for minutes. Evans would cost us black and an asset and I don't want to give up Black without getting another backup C because of how nene has looked this year . Getting another backup center would cost us something . I like what we have and think that all 3 of the guards I mentioned are capable of playing like an NBA player next to James . None of them could handle the ball as well as Evans , but then again they don't cost us anything either .
This would make perfect sense to me, there're no minutes for a 25/30 minutes per game player, a veteran as insurance on the other hand is exactly what we need.
Essentially, he is a poor man's James Harden. But because of that, he does a pretty damn good job of guarding Forwards, just like JH13. He would be a fantastic guy to have with our switching defense.
More than what they'll get from anyone else looking to get Tyreke. The 1st rounder just won't come from anyone interested within the next two years. Not for Evans.
