No idea, I was 11 when Purina sold them & I don't recall ever going to a JITB as a kid. Wendy's and Whataburger. Who cares what mega-corporation owned them anyway? There's some really strange corporate difersification portfolios out there.
I usually prefer Whataburger's double-filet box around Lent, but I really need to get down with a sick F.O.F. now.
I tried a freshly made chorizo taquito the other night, good god almighty was that a choice decision. Literally the only thing keeping me from eating Whataburger 2-3 times a week is not having breakfast served after or before 11.
the most overrated burger joint I’ve ever been to is In-N-Out, that place gets so much hype I went there with 1 of my cousin’s friends when I visited LA and the place was PACKED. I’m thinking that this place must be amazing if the line is basically busting out the door. My cousin’s friend was acting like I was about to have an orgasm in my mouth after I tried this. Man, I took 1 bite of a burger and had a couple of fries and I’m like “This is what people keep hyping up?? Whataburger>>>”
Fun history lesson: The Filet-O-Fish was actually shot down by Ray Kroc, who thought his Hula Burger, which came with a pineapple slice, would be the clear favorite. (Both were originated as a burger substitute during Lent.) So he made a deal with the franchisee who came up with the idea: They would sell both sandwiches for one day, and whichever won would be on the new permanent menu. The Fish sandwich won in a landslide, and it was McDonald's first sandwich that didn't have beef. I like them well enough, but don't order them often. If you're ever in Valdez, AK, try the Halibut Sandwich at MacMurrays. It puts the FOF to shame.
Damn straight. Granted they're food is like 75% cooking oil, but damn it's tasty. The Chicken,Fish and Shrimp platter costs a year of my life every time, but it's worth it.
I don't see how it can be tasty when it's 75% oil. I can't, for the life of me, understand why they just can cook at a higher temp so it's no so greasy. Just thinking about the film of oil in my mouth is cringe worthy.
