Can anybody seriously argue we are not there yet?

We have a Potemkin President who is to ignorant/not mentally fit to govern, who therefore delegates authority to his subordinates, while undermining them via tv watching tweet.

We have an unimaginably corrupt President, who sees the the Government only as a means to pillage and insulate himself from future crimes

We have a pathetically subjugated Congress in the grip of a small minority of the represented populace, with most of the country effectively barred from representation on most legislative matters other than cloture.

We have a court system that is being populated with cadres and loyalists who owe their existence to this cabal.

The crisis is here. It is real.

Take a very deep breath and exhale. It is not healthy to let yourself get so worked up. Hint: if you pull yourself out of the echo chamber for a while you will feel a lot better.

Serious question. Do you think you live on a more neutral standpoint and don't subjegate yourself to a bubble?

I'll be honest and upfront and state I'm guilty of this time to time though at least I've spent an intimate four years of my life deeply imbeded in one of the most right wing bubbles in America.

I was offering the guy who is clearly upset some advice. I have in the past let the echo chamber work me up into a frenzy until I realized I had to take a step back because my blood pressure was actually getting high. I quit watching Fox news and I have been much happier since. That was over five years ago. If you listen to the stuff every day it can get you down. My advice was to take a step back and take a break for a while. I was not trying to change his mind rather help him out.

There's no point of view or bubbles with respect to this Constitutional crisis really.

The facts aren't really in dispute. The President and his allies are under a criminal investigation and indictment. He us deploying all available means to subjugate it in defiance of rule of law, and the groups designed to check on him are either unwilling or openly abetting him.

We can't operate like this until next January.

LOL, this is adorable. I don't think i'll ever get tired of laughing at the ridiculous freak outs by our friends on the left. They just aren't mentally capable of accepting that they really did lose to Donald Trump due to picking an even worse candidate and the hysteria has been hilarious ever since. No matter how disappointing the knowledge that Trump was going to be president was to me, you crazy kids have made it worth it.

I hope you're right. And while we're on "right," we need some antibodies from that wing of government to grow a pair and just respect the rule of law. The % of GOP congresspeople who will stand for the rule of law will determine the end game, completely.

On topic, @SamFisher, I hear you. Not sure we can technically call it a constitutional crisis until two of the main three (incredibly compromised) branches butf heads over their powers. When they all bow down to one brand of idiocy, I think we need a different phrase. None of that makes me feel better, of course. It's just semantics.

It is the worst of times for those in a rationalist, or well-educated, or humanist, or historically-informed bubble. The. Worst.

Agreed, those antibodies are stripping the FBI of corruption as we speak.

Our electoral system and government structure are quite flawed and pretty much guarantee America will slide into the toilet eventually. 9/11 accelerated the process. Trump is just one of many wet farts that will happen as we circle the bowl.

All it took for you to let Trump have your dignity was a tax cut Bobby. SMH

You were a cheap close for the p***y grabber.

I think the problem here is that my triggered friends on the left get upset when they act ridiculous and I call them out for it. Doing so doesn't mean I'm pro-Trump, it means I'm anti-ridiculous nonsense.

Trump is every bit the embarrassment today that he's always been but that doesn't make the fantasies of the fringe left valid. You can point out the ridiculousness of the left's version of birthers without being pro-Trump, but perhaps that's too nuanced for those who are constantly triggered.
