    You're absolutely right, but I'm not sure Ballmer cares that much. He'd be a folk hero if he brought the NBA back to his town.

    And yeah, I know, it's a BILLION dollars, but Ballmer is with $40B. It's a large amount, but it wouldn't break him. And 5 or 10 years from now, even a franchise in Seattle will be worth $2B.

    are there any protection on those picks? Huge if they are not - Also not sure how they own both 2019 and 2020 since Clippers cant trade both (unless one is a pick swap)

    I think West is starting to prep the team for a new era of versatility. Bev and Bradley make a defensive backcourt that can lock down even the tougher back courts in the league. (if Bradley stays next season) Harris is really under rated and should get his due with more attention on him now in LA. I think it gives LA a ton of flexibility by getting out of that massive deal they gave to Griffin. I am guessing West didnt want to invest that big in Griffin but Balmer wanted to save some face after losing Paul. I cant imagine Doc sticks around (and he shouldnt he isnt THAT good of a coach) after his contract.

    I am actually far more interested in the Clippers again now than I have ever been.
