I knew they wanted to exterminate unions, but that is taking it too far. Uniom sounds like an eating club.
You should start a rebuttal thread, but I guess this will serve. I'm really looking forward to Joe Kennedy laying some wood on Mr. trump. Representative Joe Kennedy, grandson of Robert Kennedy and part of the future of the Democratic Party. He's kept a relatively low profile since being elected to Congress, but tonight is his coming out party. I can't think of a better moment to make an impact on the body politic than rebutting Mr. trump's "State of the Union" address. Joe, 37 years old, has arguably the most famous last name one can have as a Democrat and he's good looking. Now we'll see how he does making an important address to the nation. Fingers crossed.
Honestly don't know much about Joe Kennedy, but as famous a last name as he has I am not all that sure it helps... would have preferred a new name and person... or someone seriously being considered as a candidate (eg Harris, Booker, etc). But with no expectations, I am interested to hear his speech.
A known candidate would be really annoying. If there is any part of his speech that isn't specifically engineered to be self-promoting, it would nevertheless be interpreted as self-promoting. I think the current formula of using the rebuttal to raise the profile of someone nationally obscure is the smarter way to go. I do agree on Kennedy though -- it might be more a liability than an asset to have a famous last name in today's environment.
Democrats need at least one person ready to hit him with a YOU LIE!!! Moment else wise. . they are spineless punks and the speech holds no interest for me Rocket River
Way to think new and bold! These family dynasties whether the Bush's, Clinton's, or Kennedy's need to go. Recycling the same brands over and over with a bunch of trust fund babies isn't inspirational at all.
2 shots of vodka when he mentions "Beautiful" 1 shot for "Tremendous" 40 pushups after "Wharton school of business." 40 pushups for "great, great, great." 10 jumping jacks for "best in history" 10 up downs for "crooked hilary" (but we don't ever talk about her) 15 crunches for "Fake news" Oh this is just the warm up.
He usually talks at about a fourth grade level, so I hope he doesn't graduate to a fifth grade vernacular, or I might get lost! Sad!
How long you think the speech will be . . . I say about 45 minutes HE did and Hour last year Rocket River
