That's gotta hurt. Maybe Trump will appoint a Special Counsel to investigate himself.

I think it was good instincts for Trump to fire Mueller, and I'm glad he didn't go through with it. If Mueller had been fired, I don't think Congress would have actually had the balls to do anything about it. People would protest in the streets, antifa would go crazy, Democrats in the House would wax outraged, but the House would probably "wait for the conclusions of the" ineffectual, hyper-partisan "House investigation before taking action." Trump could have killed democracy right there and didn't do it. Maybe it's not too late.

Trump is pretty much untouchable while republicans have congress. If he fires it might help Dem get power.

Notice the answer. Not "No." But "not that I am aware of." Protecting oneself...

Which goes against your earlier spin that was suggesting that Trump forced him out so that he couldn't testify against him or something like that....

This must have really caught you off guard, you are all over the place trying to spin this. Is this what it looks like to see a Russian propaganda bot melt down?

LOL... the extent that trump defenders go to make allowances for trump...maybe not interfering in the investigation would be a better approach?

GOP congressman: Trump may lack language 'discipline' to avoid appearance of investigation interference

There's no way in a criminal case, anyone would be able to use this excuse given the facts that he did things like clear the room out before discussing certain topics, etc. There's a mountain of evidence to show intent.

Its probably better for his legal team to make a case for the constitutional powers of the presidency than to make a case for ignorance or "Language discipline" to excuse his corrupt behavior.

    Hahahaha!
Maybe just maybe he doesn't have the discipline to simply avoid obstructing justice. (To say nothing of the discipline to avoid enriching his own family at taxpayer expense, to avoid stomping on the 1st amendment, and so on.)

    Hey! I know!

Why don't the president's lawyers make an affluenza case?

Plenty of precedent for that...I mean as long as everybody's shooting this far from their hips...
    ...and into their own feet...

Trump is too stupid/incapacitated to not appear guilty of crimes.

    This is a good defense.

What Russians have on Trump must be far worse than the golden shower and simple money laundering.

Oh good. Whatever we do, don't worry about the aggressive authoritarian world power who made major efforts (and will continue) to undermine our country, our government, our elections, and our way of life. Let's go back to the Clintons, with haste! Let's follow a conspiracy rabbit-hole that will further undermine our own law enforcement, such as it is.

Hundreds of years from now, the brief history of America will be that we were pugnacious. When we could not discern an able foe externally, we always fell to fighting ourselves.

"Eh, Russia, Smushia. Show me what those god-derned liberals are doing!" It's like government by Yosemite Sam. LOL.

If Trump isn't being blackmailed or bribed, he is certainly acting like he is.
