You guys are arguing apples & oranges. Green is the more talented player but Ariza is the better overrall player with a higher basketball IQ. If we need quick points & energy then Green is your guy. If we're trying to beat GS in a 7 game series Ariza is the better choice
We won't miss a beat since the Prince is a similar player with less miles and the Prince will be taking Ariza's minutes and Green will be taking the Prince's minutes.
let him rest for now, he deserves it all this years, heart and soul of this team our greatest 3&D guy
He was walking and it wasn’t a gingerly walk or anything. He might be out like just 1 week. I expect him back Vs Cavs
LMAO I like Green . . the man is HOUSTON STRONG but Luc will start until Ariza is back Green can earn some minutes and lord knows he trying and working hard Trevor been doing it for like 145 years Green for about 2 months (yea i know he a been in the league but ) Rocket River
How is Green more talented? Because he can dunk? Ariza has mastered the art of basketball, defensively and shooting wise. It takes talent to do that.
http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/DRPM I'm honestly beginning to think Luc should start regardless, these numbers support the eye test. He's an absolute game changer on defense, and his 3 ball has become increasingly reliable (39% last year, 37% this year). You don't really want to mess with chemistry by making a change like that, but I think their minutes should be split pretty evenly, keep Ariza fresher Take his time and get healthy, he needs the rest anyhow. Green can come in for some decent bench minutes.
Luc is a better choice but he's best suited at the 4. Ariza & Green are both pure SF's. So if you put Luc at the 3, then that forces Anderson to get more minutes (which we don't want right now). Tucker & Green should split Ariza's minutes
http://www.houstonchronicle.com/spo...n&utm_medium=social&__twitter_impression=true Ariza to have tests Ariza will have tests Monday to determine the severity of his hamstring injury. It would not seem to be as severe as James Harden's grade two strain, if only because the Rockets initially called Ariza "questionable" to return to Sunday's game. But D'Antoni said they would not know much until Monday's examination.
I just hope the injury isn't serious. We need Ariza, badly. This is why depth is so important. It's why Luc is so important. Green? He's a gift, coming out of nowhere. Added depth, seemingly plucked from the ether by Morey. I'm glad we have Luc, and I'm glad Morey added Green, but I hope Ariza is back starting games very soon. With the depth we have now, MDA needs to cut back of Trevor's minutes some. He should be playing 20+ minutes a game, not 35. He's more effective when he hasn't been playing a stretch of games with heavy minutes, in my opinion. Some of you are crazy.
