Ah yes. @basketballholic trying to somehow get some kind of sense of accomplishment from an NBA player being out of the NBA lmao
I think it's time. He's in the G League. He has probably learned that he wants to live in the US, and that there are talented players in all those smaller leagues (china, etc.) that didn't develop themselves and be more disciplined. Look where he is, in the G League. And he's still 26. And we need a 3rd string PF, at least temporarily. And our coaching staff is tough and talented, rather than just tough. MDA/Bzdelik can use Jones' athleticism and mediocre ability to put the ball on the floor. I just wonder if the coaching staff can keep him motivated to fight for minutes even if he's not getting them. I really think we should sign him up. Minimum contract, no risk. We have a roster spot right now. Maybe this new coaching staff will be able to put him to better use too. As far as I remember, Jones and the organization didn't clash so I can see it happening. Not only do I think we should do it, but I think he really could be a late bloomer and end up being a tremendous backup PF long term.
I know it's 2 months after the post but this cracked me up. My mind automatically played the theme song too!
I understand this guy has alot of versatility in his game. Like come on, he can literally do it all! Except he does everything bad... he can put the ball on the floor but it'll be sloppy, and it may result in a turnover, but yeah he can do it in stretches. He can hit the 3... at maybe a 30% clip. He can rebound the ball... at maybe 7.5rpg per 36min or something. MAYBE we could use him in stretches because of that versatility, but like I said, it will be really sloppy versatility.
