We pay him starter money, he's our starting power forward, when the game is winding down and it's close, you usually like to have your starters in the game...... we can't do that with Ryan. He's on the bench because he can't help us. Defenders play tighter, so the 7ft of space he needs to feel comfy about throwing up a shot is never there.

That shows you how limited our starting PF is. He can't be played to win a tight game. That could be the last 2 mins, last 3 mins..... hell we know it could be a tight one with 7 mins left in the game. What a compromise for our team.

Ryno is going to be heavier than either Ariza or Moute by a good 20-25 pounds. That is not a tiny advantage.

LOL.... try pushing or lifting constantly at something for half an hour and then increase that weight by even 10lbs. You will notice the difference quickly. Factor in someone who not only has more mass than you, but pushes back as well and you quickly lose stamina. This is how science works.

Well, at least Ryan's fans here don't meet the intensity of McHale's fans. Those were painful times.

It isn't as if we want Ryno to fail, and he did shake off his malaise today. But it probably won't lasf. Unless Morey tells him, "You won't be traded." Which won't happen.

Just like you are assuming Moute's listed weight of 230 is accurate or even Ariza at 215?

Its not just about getting through it is also about being in better condition, is that really so hard to understand? If you are first seed you meet the 8th seed and then 4rth seed. OTH if you are second seed you meet the 7th (more difficult than 8th) and then 3rd (more difficult than 4rth) and so un until it reverses for the 8th seed. Each playoffs is a best of 7, if you face weaker opponents than you can wrap it up in 4 games. OTH if you get a lower seed than you face higher quality opponents then you may extend to 7 games each series and wear yourself out. Its not a theory its a fact unless you can argue having lower seed opponents is harder than having higher seed opponents.

6%? Last year Anderson had 13.2% difference from home and away 3 pt shooting.
    https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/a/anderry01/splits/2017

This year he "only" has 6% difference but he took only 109 3 pt shots at home vs 150 at road. Thats like 30% decrease in attempts for no reason wtf. Irving has a similar decrease in percentage but at least his attempts are relatively the same.
More importantly Irving's TS% is only different by 3% meaning he just scores in other ways on the road, whereas Anderson's TS% is a whopping 9% decrease which means he just sucks at home.

the fact that morey is desperately trying to trade ryno just shows how badly he’s producing relative to his contract. So enough with defending his floor spacing and blablabla cause if morey wants to trade him it means he’s playing ****. Plain and simple, no data needed.

Actually Morey is the ultimate data guy, the fact that he is the one trying to dump Anderson shows how much Anderson really sucks. These people pulling data out of their ass can't compare to the analytics Morey is using.

yup, people are overrating how valuable Ryno’s “spacing” and “gravity” are to this team...u also need to be a threat to score...we all know he’s not gonna make much of an impact defensively

I doubt he’ll make any notable difference in the playoffs either or be on the court if it’s a close game in the 4th...matter of fact, if he’s playing scared, not taking or making shots, and being a non-factor defensively, he’ll be actively hurting us in playoff series

How many people think Ryno’s spacing along with everything else he does or does not bring is worth 10 mil/yr for this team? What about 5?

Or someone let him know we have a really good chance of scoring another superstar and he wants to make sure space is not an issue. There are multiple legitimate reasons that could be driving Morey to trade Ryno. Remember, we could have always dumped Ryno, the question has always been whether or not we wanted to pay the hefty price of unloading his contract. Unloading was not an issue. Unloading without taking any bad contracts in return or losing out on more picks on the other hand...

rhyno s defense is solid...and on offense in WCF they are not leaving him wide open regardless of whether hes 'making shots or not'...so draymond green will be on perimeter not guarding the rim and clogging the paint and that is all that matters
